While you’ll definitely enjoy the smells from the smokers in the front of the restaurant, this place will constantly deliver you quality and delicious bbq with generous portions. Add in friendly service, and you have one of Monroe’s best spots to eat.

Was in Monroe today, and finally got to try When Pigs Fly BBQ, after hearing good things. First, this place is HUGE, and despite that, it was still packed, and for good reason.

Great little place in Monroe for good food and a great atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our meal. We had the chicken, stew, potato salad, green beans, slaw, and brisket for dinner. Food was hot fresh and service was spot on from the start. For dessert we had the banana pudding (homemade in house everyday) very good with a cup of coffee. Stop by and give them a try if you are in downtown Monroe, Georgia. 5 stars for When Pigs Fly BBQ!

We tried When Pigs Fly BBQ yesterday at lunch time. We were seated right away even though the restaurant was busy. We were very impressed to see the honor wall for all branches of military and firefighters. The food was delicious and plentiful. 3 of the 4 of us had to take the rest of our lunch home! The hostess, waitress and manager were all friendly. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment.

My family and I had the best 1st experience ever!! Me and my husband got the salmon and it was Amazing!! Really hopeful that it will be a staple on the menu!! Our son got the wings and he said they were very good. Our daughter got the half rack of ribs and she said they were amazing!!! We finished our lunch with the funnel cake fries and but of course they to were awesome!!! Had an awesome awesome lunch!!! The owner brought our salmon to the table and even came by a couple of times and just casually talked with us!! For this being our 1st time here, I definitely would give more stars if I could!!! I will definitely be back and will continue to be a customer!! Awesome job guys!!! The Trader family will definitely be back and I will send my friends and coworkers your way!!

This place is really good! The atmosphere, food, staff, the prices are even better, the food…haha. I definitely give this place a 10/10. The food is spot on. You can taste the spice and the smoke from the smoker..The ribs fall off the bones and the Mac and cheese is to die for!

Me and my brother in law tried it out yesterday. Brisket and ribs was dry and hard. Meats was not tender at all. Food was cold. The bake bean was on only food that was hot. The bake bean and the coleslaw was only the good food there. The smoker in the back wasn’t cooking any foods. So not sure if it’s really bad food there or I’m just there at the wrong time when the food are not fresh. The food did taste and look like it’s few days old. Too dry and not tender and not hot. Customer service was good tho. I would love to try it again to see if it’s a difference experience.

A cute restaurant with charm. We could hardly wait to try it due to the reviews. Sadly, the service was not as one would expect. We waited a long time for a menu, and even longer for a waitress to take our drink orders. The barbeque pork was overcooked and stringy with little flavor. The French fries were undercooked and very firm in the middle. The coleslaw was boring. The macaroni and cheese was the best item we tasted. It had a good blend of creamy cheeses. We were so disappointed and sad about our experience since Monroe needs more good restaurants.
