Small down diner vibes, the kind that has a bunch of different types of pie. I’ve been here before but today was exceptional! Me and my sister were on a short lunch break but I was craving pie so we chose to hedge our bets at a sit-in restaurant. When I asked how long it usually takes the food to come out I mentioned only having a half hour, but I’d eat super fast if needed. I heard the hostess tell the server/kitchen I was on a time crunch, and our server Carol (I believe that’s what her name was) was fantastic! She got our order in right away and was generally amazing. I would’ve given her a $100 tip if I could, she definitely deserved it. Even tho I only spoke to Carol today, every time I’ve been here in the past I’ve gotten great service (from current AND past employees, so they must only hire the best ). The food was delicious as well but at a diner that’s a given.

Great quality beef, prepared perfectly. I wasn’t expecting the totally homemade meal. The Wheel Inn is worth the visit. Don’t be put off by the simple building. They have put their money in the product. Our server had worked there for years and knew the menu and how the chef prepared the meat. She was a real pro, and she earned her big tip. Just be sure to bring a light sweater as the A/C is set pretty cool.

This was a pleasant surprise. This was also my first time there. My husband used to go there with his Javelin. Amazing service! Beautiful layout. Has a private yet family feel. Definitely plan to visit more often. Very impressed. Fair prices as well. Generous portions also. You will be pleased I am sure.

I hear this place actually is known for breakfast. So maybe I’ll return and try that out. The lunch I had was so so. I had a bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich which was so so. White or wheat was as far as it got. French fries were tasty. The service was quick and friendly. Prices were okay. The decor is sort of like they converted an unused office space into a restaurant. The place has no heart. Overall this place is unimpressive. I Wish Watertown had a good local diner.

Food is usually the best. The service is awesome, some times it’s really noise when everyone is talk but still a family atmosphere. Love this place.

Meatloaf special & hot beef combos were hot, fresh and very good. Our server was kind & efficient. We’ll definitely go again.

I had the roast beef. It was dried shoe leather. But with enough gravy and mushrooms, it was edible. The people were great and the price was right. I’m sure I’ll try them again.

The chocolate chip pancakes are the size of the plate and are fantastic! Also totally recommend the sausage patties, pretty sure they’re fresh and not frozen.
