It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

It had been a while since I had been to Texas and quite a while since I visited a Whataburger. So worth the stop. The Caldwell location seemed new. Very nice. Clean. Modern and really fun atmosphere. The burger was everything I remembered and the fries rival McDonalds. I really enjoyed my meal. I couldn’t help myself visiting Texas I had to try the Dr. Pepper shake and it was so creamy and so flavorful. Great summertime treat!!

This is my favorite Whataburger to eat at. Every two weeks when I head to work I stop here to eat. The food and service is consistently good. The dine-in area is kept clean. I haven’t used the drive through or online for this place.

My husband and I stopped for late lunch on a Sunday afternoon at the newly opened Whataburger in Caldwell, Texas. We had to stand in line for a few minutes before ordering. Seemed the staff was still working the kinks out.

The crew in the kitchen were cutting up pretty good when I walked in and had me thinking it would take forever to get my food. I was wrong they were just having fun while they were hard at work. Everyone was pleasant and the food was great!

We love this Whataburger! Jessica R was great and very friendly. The food was fresh and delicious with a minimal wait time. There is plenty of parking which was great for us as we were pulling a horse trailer. They play Christian music which was outstanding as well!

I had just got off work of a 10 hour LN shift, I had very little money to use. Mr Reggie was kind and very helpful when creating my order, he ended up helping me pay for some it. Reggie needs a raise cause I have never been treated that kind, come see Reggie

I don’t even know where to start. Me and my father walked in, and we had already heard yelling throughout the kitchen. The lady taking our order was obviously mad and was rude when taking our order. She was yelling back into the kitchen, complaining, and cussing. We had saw the people before us have wrong orders as we waited for ours. The Dr. Pepper and sweet tea tasted nasty. When we got our order we had realized it was switched with someone else’s when we had gotten back to our vehicle. We went back inside for them to get our order wrong again and have the lady up front cuss some more. When we got our order for the 3rd time my dads order still wasn’t right (he got a #2 and they gave us a #1), and we think we had gotten someone else’s wrong order with jalapeños added on it because it was barely warm and the cheese was no where close to being melted. Not to mention his fries were cold. When my order was finally right it was good. The only food we didn’t have a problem with was the banana pudding milkshake.

Food is typically hot and fresh which is why I’m giving 3 stars. However, I placed a mobile order that they had forgotten both my large fries on. On top of that I only had 2 meals ordered but of course unless you have nothing but time, this isn’t the Whataburger you want to be at. I’ve been to several locations across the state but not one has taken as long as this location for drive thru service. You can expect to wait 20-40 mins for food ordered going through the drive thru.
