It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

There was a Whataburger location just right across the street from our resort, which was a nice treat for lunch one day. It was pretty hot out that day but the shakes helped us cool us down. Food was great and the staff was super friendly.

We just had to try it while we were in Destin, FL. We patronized the restaurant on 101 Harbor Blvd. The burger patties tasted fresh and delicious! The onion rings and fries were tasty as well. I thought it was neat how they have regular ketchup and spicy ketchup with jalapeños. I ordered a banana shake which was alright. The service was great!! The manager personally brought my shake to our table and my replacement burger. He was very friendly which I appreciated. I will definitely eat here again! Yummy!

First visit 7/4/23-went right after the fireworks and the place was packed. However, even though there was a long line inside and at the drive thru, we didn’t have to wait too long. Restrooms were relatively clean. Burgers were flavorful. Fries were good. For it being a fast food restaurant I think it deserves 4 stars for the overall experience. Food won’t wow you but it was a decent burger.

Where I live, we do not have Whataburger around us, I’ve heard so many people talk about this place, so I was excited as a tourist to finally try one!! But I was soon let down because it just……wasn’t good. I was definitely let down to the extreme. The cheeseburger was so incredibly dry, and had way too much damn salt on it. Just very dry, bland with no seasoning or taste to it at all! I would much rather go to Culver’s any day to get a unhealthy, juicy cheeseburger. I don’t know if it was just this location or if they all are like this, I didn’t get a chance to try to go to another one nor did I really want to.

I use to love eating these burgers when I lived in Pensacola in the 80’s. I have really missed them living in the Atlanta area which has been devoid of these delicious burgers. I was thrilled when I saw Destin had one! My burger was as great as I remembered and the Apple pie was the older rectangular fried pie that I grew up with and it was delicious! The onion rings are simply delicious! They were very busy but did not have to wait long before they brought our food out to our table. Drive thru was constantly moving as well. My wife said he chocolate shake was thick and had a wonderful chocolate flavor! If you have never had one of their burgers, what are you waiting for!

Out of state traveler.. had 3 tow trucks in the parking lot, towing cars. Had to watch our car for the 15-20 mins we waited for our food. couldn’t even go through the drive through if you wanted to, local came in “watch your cars”. first experience here wasn’t to my satisfaction standard at all.

Was probably pretty good when there isn’t an employee spraying cleaner all over the floor next to where you’re eating. Couldn’t get the taste of cleaner out of my mouth and nose so we didn’t even get to eat half of our meals. Not a great experience for our first time eating whataburger

The food is fine…but the service is trash! Went to this location 3 times. Each time I ordered on the app…and all three times no one came to my car. I had to go inside each time and my food was done…setting there getting cold. Maybe not offer the App if you can’t perform the duties.
