I had passed by this place for a minute years without stopping and today I decided to stop due to hunger pains the prices seem right but as it turned out the pictures and the food were totally different. The pictures of the chicken would not the chicken that I received as it turned out I was told the chicken was not whole but in fact pulled apart which usually means that it’s the prior day’s chicken. All the meat was cold and the bones were colder. And that was my experience today. Not what I consider a rib joint

Whaley’s BBQ is the best BBQ in town guaranteed or your money back LOL but for real they have the best barbecue for the cheapest price and it is simply amazing. The Odessa store is amazing friendly staff the man that works there is an amazing guy always has a smile on his face and always treat the customers with the best of his ability I’d like to say thank you and I will continue to come back

Been a fan of the brand Whaley’s since they had their family owned supermarket in Carrollwood off of Dalemabry. The name speaks for itself the recipes have been handed down through the generations of the family, besides I’d drive through whatever just for those juicy pulled pork sandwiches or the smoked salmon mouth watering flavors. I’ve gotten food from Whaleys BBQ for years, always been pretty happy with it. Yesterday I got 1.5 lbs of salmon and a half of chicken from the Odessa location from the location Gunn hwy. Sorry to say both the salmon and the chicken were way passed there prime and dry. That happens, I understand but I think he knew the salmon would be dry, when I got home and saw it, I wouldn’t have served it to someone. Having said that it’s the way they handled it that will keep me away and got me writing this, “from a phone call with Todd Whaley, he’s a new independent contractor and can’t control what he does.

It won’t let me do less of a rating… I’m from Tennessee this place would go under quick… bbq wasn’t good everything comes on a small dinner roll. They only have one sauce and it’s overly sweet bbq sauce. No other condiments nor cheese. I have had better from a fast food place.

Indisputably the best bbq. There’s always a wait but it’s SO worth it. Sadly the last two times I stopped in; first time the girl said the bbq wouldn’t ready until 4:30 (on a Saturday) and when I went back at 4:30 she had a sign on the window stating rest room break but after 15 minutes still wasn’t back.

Really good BBQ only thing is they serve it ice cold would recommend waiting to eat it when you get home so you can pop it in the microwave or in the oven to heat up.
