I can’t believe how expensive this place is. About $10 for a small meal if you’re not military. They charge you for every item you grab, where as Army DFACs charge you a set price of about $5.50 and you can load your tray up to the max, as long as it’s reasonable. They even charge for fruits and vegetables, which some people may be discouraged from buying since they could otherwise save money. The food isn’t even good; the burgers are $4 and are some of the cheapest patties I’ve had. Why is the Air Force trying to profit off non meal card holders?! Does the Air Force not see spouses and veterans as family too? I can’t remember the last time I went over to a friend’s house for dinner only for them to charge me $20 for a glass of water and freezer food.

This dining facility is exquisite. I never had an over cooked meal or dealt with rude staff. I ate 8 boiled eggs every morning, leaving the yolks for the beasts that lived in the dumpster behind (I have a separate review for that). For lunch and dinner I ate 3 chicken breasts and sweet potato fries, with the occasional desert. Every. Single. Day. It was tremendous. I even met my wife here. I can’t really speak on the rest of the food they offer but if you’re here for freshly boiled eggs, grilled chicken, sweet potato fries, and near-single digit body fat, then you’re at the right place.

It’s an Air Force DFac. It’s probably slightly above average. Better than what I had at Leonard Wood, an Army DFac. Burgers are eh, subs are solid. Entre line is usually good, sometimes great, occasionally bad. Grill line occasionally takes a half hour to get through. Lots of fish dishes and chicken almost daily, both of which are sometimes overcooked. Side selection is usually great. Lots of dessert options. Come get some food.

Go there every time I visit my bf on base. THE PHILLY MAINTAINER IS THE GREATEST SANDWICH IN EXISTENCE. The bathrooms are always clean, the lines are good, staff is usually pretty nice, they keep on top of cleaning the tables, it always feels really clean in there. Great variety of food.

My first issue is with pricing. If I were a meal card holder then it would’ve gotten 2 stars. I spent $10 for a lunch here once. What I got was 2 grilled chicken sandwiches like the ones they sell at gas stations, small sweet potato fries which were fine and a 16oz bottle of water. The sandwich itself was insanely dry. No amount of ketchup would have saved it. Food quality and options were lacking at least the day I went and nobody should ever spend that much money for food. I would have gotten a coffee too but I’d imagine it would have been overly expensive

Not bad! Lots of choices. Meat tends to be overdone but I feel that’s a military requirement. Some things are really cheap and some are really expensive for what they are if you’re not on a meal card.

Most dining facilities lock the building down during non operation periods. Westernwinds does not do this. The manager which watched me from the get go, didn’t say a word about the facility being closed. He wait for me to pick up some to go food and then came and took it from my hand and told me its now trashed. I offered to pay but apparently it was too late. I find it sad they’ve put a person in a position of power who thinks its okay as a civilian to treat military in this manner.
