Chicago dog is 100% authentic! (Neon green relish) Italian Beef w/hot peppers will knock your socks off. This place has found it’s self at the top of my list of favorite places to eat in Lampasas County after one visit.

Just simply yummy!! We had the Maxwell Street Polish, the Da’Coach and the best hand cut fries I’ve had in a long time. Worth the trip out to Lampasas! Wish we lived closer so we could make it a weekly visit!!

Tasted just like as if I was back home. The owner is super awesome. The other guy working was super awesome too. Great food and great people. It’s near impossible to find a taste of home. It’s really nice it’s in our backyard.

Located is a ‘40s era, slanted picture windowed restaurant with checkered tile floors, you’ll be taking a step into the past when you enter. But that’s just the charming atmosphere. At the counter, you’ll discover a Chicago-style selection of absolutely fantastic Vienna Beef hot dogs, polish sausage and Italian beef “Portillosesque” sandwiches… all loaded up the delicious, brightly colored relishes and fresh fixings not normally found in these parts. The buns and sandwich rolls cradling the meats are over the top as well. The friendly proprietor tells of growing up in Chicago and working as a teen for Fluky’s, once the largest hot dog restaurant in the city. Hot dogs Chicago-style are ingrained into his DNA.

“A Chicago Style Eatery” with 3 menu items?! If you want to be a self proclaimed “Chicago Style Eatery” you may want to provide more items found in Chicago. Desserts, Chicago pizza and Chicago specialty items. Not 3 items and fries. I don’t see this place lasting more than 6 months with such a pathetic menu. If you want a hotdog, go to Sonic. If you want a Chicago experience, go to Chicago. This place has potential if they can encompass an actual full Chicago Eatery. Goodluck

Too expensive: no dog should cost more than a burger. Buns not steamed. Dog wasn’t that warm. 7.00 dog should of had at least potato chips as a side.
