I did a simple mobile order thinking to myself, ” there is no way they can mess this up.” My order was simple a Jr. Bacon cheese and a large fries. What I got was a cold burger with toppings missing and a half box of cold fries. It is not that hard to look at a screen and make food accordingly. Also the staff seems to be slow for a fast food restaurant.

We were 3 old ladies out and about, ages 65-94. We were hungry. As we held onto each other and made out way slowly to the doors at Wendy’s, we were surprised that a nice young lady came to open the doors for us. We took our time ordering, and the girl at the counter was patient. Smiling. Helpful. She helped us get everything we wanted, including pretzel hamburgers with everything, a baked potato with everything, and a sweet strawberry confection. When it came time to get the food to our booth, another young lady came out from behind the counter and carried Mom’s food to our table, as she uses a cane. The food was magnificent. As we ate, one of the girls would come by the table like we were at a 5-star restaurant and check on us to make sure everything was okay. They even helped us pack up. All three of us have never been treated so well at a fast food restaurant. I highly recommend the food and the service at the Academy Blvd and Austin Bluffs Parkway location in Colorado Springs. It can be hard to get around and do things as you get older. I don’t think we’ll ever go anywhere else! The iced mocha coffee was not cold and the milk tasted old. I ordered a nacho burger and grease was dripping from the meat. The hamburger meat was overcooked. I expected the sandwich to be be fresh and hot. I had an upset stomach afterwards. There was too much grease in the food. One of the employees in the back was making loud bnoxious noises. A cashier from the back went to the front register and she had food bulging from her cheeks. It was apparent that she did not care that she was being unprofessional.

Why is every place in Colorado Springs Shut down so early? I went to this Wendy’s which is supposed to be open until midnight, I went at 1015pm, and all the lights were off but they still were open. Then after getting the food that was ordered, it was noticeably stale and left out all day. If people are going to work night shifts, they need to have people who actually want to work. It’s sad that the people who work at night are limited to what is available as far as food places being opened late and good quality of food.

Messed up my entire online drive thru order because they said it come in as a carry out. They were trying to force me to come in as if I made the mistake (I have a foot brace on and confirmed I placed the order correctly) I told them I could just wait and they made me wait 30 mins before giving me the completely wrong order. Since I was running late for work lunch (30 Min breaks) I didn’t realize this until I got back to work. This was a 3 meal order so my coworkers were all also upset. Staff is terrible. Manager didn’t seem to want to fix the problem..

The food and service were good. However, the you g lady who was taking orders was impatient and rude. Less than helpful. The restaurant was quiet and she was making fun of a customer’s name. She said this name Rupert or something weird like that. She was probably loud enough for him to hear her.

An employee was outside smoking when we got there. When we left she and four other employees were all outside smoking including an employee who literally just clocked in. The place could have used some cleaning by these people. Food was ok…not sure my hamburger was fresh. Yes it was not busy…we were the only people in there at the time, actually in the restaurant without an employee in sight! Not a good scenario.

Ok, so I understand a place being short staffed and being a little bit slower when training new employees. The lady taking orders at the drive thru was an absolute pleasure, and you can tell she at least enjoys her job and tries to make it fun while she’s there. I appreciate her attitude so much. But this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at Wendy’s. I came into the line with only one person in front of me, and waited nearly 30 minutes in line!!! The person at the second window asked me what I ordered and literally closed the window before I could finish. He handed me two bags and two small drinks, and I had ordered three sandwiches with larger drinks. I opened up the sandwiches to check and saw they were definitely not the sandwiches I ordered. I couldn’t TELL them that because The window was closed. I could tell they were scrambling in there with new hires and I DO feel for them. But, after I had HANDLED someone else’s sandwiches, they guy at the window tells me there was a mixup and needed the bags back. So he was going to serve the sandwiches he saw me touch??? This Wendy’s is so close to my house but I will absolutely be driving the extra 10-15 minutes to go to another one while this one gets their stuff together.
