I’ve had better in Stockton. To start the calamari, which cost $13.50, was cold, bland, hard, chewy, and you can tell it was frozen and not fresh. If it wasn’t frozen, it sure gave off the appearance, texture, and taste of it. The sushi rolls were decent but for 15.00 a roll I’d expect for them to be cut properly so they don’t fall apart when trying to rip them apart/separate them. Decent place, but way overpriced for the quality of the food. $45-$50 for everything you see in both pictures, you decide if you’d pay that much for it.

Been here twice now for h.h. and trying various menu items. I really enjoyed the crunchiness of the stuffed jalapenos. Rolls are fresh. Beer is very cold. Oyster shooters are pretty good but don’t have the quail egg in them. I’ll keep coming back.

We ordered takeout from Wedashii Sunday evening. The prices for the bento box—lots of interesting choices—and sashimi—variety—were decent. The food quality was pretty marginal at best. We got the sea steak, short ribs, and tempura. The portions were generous, and the ribs were pretty good. The sweet potato tempura seemed under.cooked, and the tempura itself was okay. The sea steak seemed like it was supposed to be seared tuna, but it wasn’t well seasoned, seemed partly cooked throughout, and had a poor sear on the outside. But the sashimi made it clear the tuna was just old or poorly handled. The tuna sashimi was oxidized—brownish on all surfaces. Another fish was mushy without the freshness required for acceptable sushi/sashimi. Of the sashimi, only the salmon seemed of acceptable quality. When the pillar of a business is raw fish, serving poor quality fish is simply not acceptable.
