SOOOOO PRETTY!!! The ambiance GORGEEEEE, food DELISH, drinks AMAZEEEEE all served with a side of LIVE MUSIC~~~ DEF RECOMMEND!!! It was our first time here! Just got back from Mohegan Sun on the ferry from Orient Point. We are in contract on a house on the north fork so wanted to check out a cool local restaurant while in the area. This restaurant DID NOT disappoint. SOOOO HAPPPPY we came and found this place!!! First I ordered the lavender something (forget the name ‍♀️) martini. We had the tuna crunch and clam chowder soups as apps. Then split the branzino with a side of broccolini. Finished with chocolate gelato. SOOOOO GOOOOD! They also have a really cool bar and space to reserve to hang by individual fire pits. I always love these hidden gems! Can’t wait to live here as we will BE BACK!!! ~~~

” On the water ” Nice view and atmosphere even on a cloudy day. A good number of patrons arrived by boat. Outside tables and live music … all good. Service was very good. The drinks and food were pretty good, but could be a little better. Everything was a little pricey, but remember you’re paying for the view, etc.

We recently dined at Waypoint in Southold, New York, and our experience was a mix of highs and lows. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. While the inside dining room exuded a cozy and sophisticated vibe, we were seated under the tent outside — an hour after our reservation time. Unfortunately, the outdoor atmosphere felt a bit lacking compared to the indoor area. The noise level was quite high, with several large parties celebrating birthdays, creating an ambiance more reminiscent of a lively wedding reception than a tranquil dining experience.

Truly special setting. They had an amazing musician playing live who really made the experience for us. Staff super nice across the board. Don’t expect the food to be nearly at the same level. It’s not bad by any means just not inspired like the other aspects of the place, especially given the prices. Overall, highly recommended!

What a wonderful down to earth waterfront dining experience. The halibut special and drinks were a perfect combo. Add the late afternoon sun lit soft colored vista and… Too bad the musician was a no show. Several more visits, musicians showed. All good. Had the seafood pot and fish and chips. Yes, pricey, but worth it!

Waypoint is a beautiful restaurant right on the water, however, we would not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a place that is handicap accessible. The parking lot is gravel – my friend has a 50lbs automatic wheelchair. When she tried to go her wheels were stuck in the gravel so I had to pull the wheelchair in the gravel which was not fun. There was also no handicap parking. The one spot closest to the ramp that maybe looked like handicap parking was taken and the car had no handicap sticker. We thankfully got a spot that wasn’t too far from the restaurant but if we had to park any farther I would not have been able to drag the wheelchair that far. There is a ramp to get to the outdoor seating area but the setup is not ideal. I had to move this big flower pot that was blocking the top of the ramp so we could try and get the wheelchair by. Navigating the outside area of the restaurant was also a struggle because it is pretty tightly packed. We had to ask customers to get up out of their seats so we could pass by. The staff were not very helpful and did not provide any guidance or assistance. For dinner we ordered some appetizers and a salad. I was expecting the food to be better but it was honestly subpar for the price. I hope that management can take my review into consideration and try to make some needed adjustments to make their restaurant more accessible.

Great spot for lunch or dinner. Perfect for a nice weather day to sit outside or under the canopy and have a few drinks and a great meal. I was impressed with the menu and happy with my meal. Service was also attentive and helpful which is always a plus.

We had been to this restaurant several times over the years since it’s opening. It was also good, but this season they have significantly improved their service and food portions. Definitely recommend going for happy hour at the bar and having a reservation for dinner.

Waypoint was absolutely amazing! I was out on LI visiting friends for the weekend and they took me there. We started with drinks and apps on the water by the fire pits. We were able to see the boats coming and going and enjoyed the beautiful end of summer weather. We moved to a table after an hr and proceeded to order dinner. Everything was delicious!!!! I wish I could give Waypoint 10 stars!!! Our server Ashley was top notch could not have been any more attentive! Anne, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, not only for our table, but for the entire restaurant. We had a great experience and I would highly recommend the water front spot!!!!!

I was looking forward to take my friend to this restaurant after reading everyone else review. However, my friend and I are very disappointed with the food and drink. The Clam chowder soup is salty. Half chicken entree is a chicken thigh. Lemon lavender martini taste like soap water.
