I am a Wayback Burger fan and the cheesy is my favorite burger here. But in the north we do not have the Carolina burger with coleslaw and chili so I decided since I was in North Carolina to give it a try. it was good and I am glad I tried it but the cheesy is still my favorite burger. I also tried the Carolina hot dog with chili and coleslaw and it was delicious and I would recommend it. The restaurant was clean and the people working there were very friendly.

Dropped in on April 23rd at this location in Morganton, NC just to give their “Carolina Burger” a try. This is a regional item not offered at all Wayback Burger locations. It’s not even on the menu at this location, but I was assured that this location had all the necessary items and could prepare it as a “Carolina Burger” if ordered that way. While I wasn’t exactly in the area, I sat out on about an hour drive to get a “Carolina Burger”.

1 star is a very generous review of this place. I normally enjoy their food however attitude from the staff was horrific. The menu does not mention that the topping I chose was extra and I was overcharged. When I mentioned it to the staff twice they told me it wasn’t posted but that I should have known it would have cost more. I recommended that I was being nice and that I had the option not to return again. The owner said you might as well. What company would want to lose business over a slice of cheese. It’s not that the money was a huge Factor as much as it was the principle of the matter. Don’t overcharge your customers and if there’s an issue the customer is always right. It’s just good business practice. I will not be returning back to this place they are Crooks and arrogant humans.

Visited here on the first night of TGIF in downtown. The name has changed since my last visit. It was super busy and they had a high volume of people in and out the entire time I was there. But the service was wonderful and very fast! The food was delicious and made well. They never missed a beat. I would definitely recommend!

My experiences at Jake’s have always been pretty consistent. The food is always very good as is the service. The owners/operators are usually the ones waiting on you. Service is friendly. It’s a great place for lunch in downtown, but also good for dinner if you are looking for something inexpensive and fast.

This place was recommended to me by several locals. Good food and friendly service. $6.41 for a burger and fries. Under $3 for a milkshake (and they made me a combo not listed on the board). Super friendly guy working the counter who talked to me about what I was doing for work in town. 10/10 would swing thru this burger joint again.

This place had great food. You can eat here cheap if you order a single burger and go with the standard fries option, but if you order double or triple burgers, order speciality burgers, or modify the side you get, the price can rise easily. We opted for the home style chips. The home chips were quite crunchy and I wish we had requested them to be floppy, but that wasn’t their fault. I will be going back to treat some other burgers. Oh yeah, we had mushroom and onions on a couple burgers, and one had a double bacon cheeseburger. They were both great. Also, if you get cheese fries, be aware that they put shredded cheese on the fries and melt it, not a cheese sauce.
