Good local country feel about this place. Service was quick and very friendly. The food was good. Not the best I’ve ever had but exactly what you would expect for a place serving breakfast like this.

Visiting Raleigh Decided to try this place…I love the local hole in the wall type places and that’s how I would describe Watkins.

Cute, hole-in-the-wall little breakfast and lunch spot just north of Raleigh. The staff was sweet and attentive. They have a large menu with daily specials that haven’t changed in years according to the sweet old man sitting new to me (He comes in every Tuesday).

Love having breakfast and lunch here. It can get crowded for lunch, because the food is so good at a good price. Fantastic people there!

I have been passing this place for years my cousin and I was out riding she told me that the food was so good I said will I got to try it . Well it was so good and I will be going back I had breakfast now before the week is out I’m going to try lunch. That sausage was delicious with that right hit of hot. It’s a 100 for me.

Friendly service. As of today the sanitation grade is 90.5. Not terrible, but could be better. The omelettes were great. The sausage gravy, fried fish, and potato salad could have had more flavor, but on the flip side I’m glad they weren’t doused in salt. You can season to your personal taste. It has a family, down home, no frills atmosphere.

One of the few remaining country cooking restaurants in Raleigh. Breakfast all day. Always excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Cash only, but they have an ATM.

Had breakfast here on a Saturday. It was clean, service was very friendly and the ham in my western omelette was great. The kitchen did take a little longer than normal, but they may have had a big party before us.

Tough call on this one. My family LOVES a good greasy spoon diner- loved the wood paneling and the overall diner vibe. However, after ordering, we waited 45 minutes for our food. Then both of my daughters’ scrambled eggs were wet and toast was cold. Hash browns were average. Good pancakes. Huge order of biscuits and gravy for a reasonable price. And the bacon was delicious.
