We came across this restaurant on our recent stay in TN. Being from Wisconsin, we absolutely adored the waterfront view and the hospitality. Our bartender, Laura, was incredible. The drinks were fantastic and our food was wonderful. A must-stop!

Combatical “Combatical”
One wouldn’t think a simple fish and chips is hard to manage but this is the only place in Maryville that does it correctly. Great outdoor vibes and service was good. Prices were on par if not a bit better than regular and didn’t have to deal with what’s becoming the normal hustle and bustle of Maryville. To me a true gem that deserves to be shared.

Great scenery and vibe! This place was recommended by a coworker, so I figured I’d give it a try. I ordered the fish tacos, and after taking the first bite, I immediately regretted it. The apple chutney/relish was tasty, but the fish had the taste and consistency of fish sticks.

I got the fish tacos and added a side of the veggies and everything tasted fantastic. We sat outside since it really didn’t feel too hot for 86°. They have ceiling fans and additional floor fans that keeps it enjoyable. Nice views and you could take a walk on the bridge below.

So first off, the server we had was absolutely AWESOME!! Secondly, the side salad that came with it was perfect! But., That’s the extent of it! The location of said restaurant was completely up to par with the food they serve, extremely Bland and uncharted. Next, they had one server for the entirety of the place, so it was her on a mad dash trying to keep up with the times, But due to her being the only server that was not possible.. So the wait time was rather lengthy.. My wife ordered a 5 oz center cut filet with broccoli and a side of rice. It was obvious to Stevie Wonder that the steak had come off of a George Foreman grill that has never seen a seasoning a day in its life.. I’m talking not even salt and pepper.. the broccoli tasted as if it come out of a frozen vegetable bag and was put in a pot of boiling water for roughly 2.75 minutes and pulled and put on the plate to serve. I ordered steak tips onions and bell peppers over a bed of rice, I received roughly 6 bites of steak, roughly 44 grains of rice a.k.a a (sleeping bag) not a bed.75 slices of bell pepper and 21 slices of onion.. That also., without a speck of even salt or pepper on it.. Not only was it not placed on the food, but it was not made readily available at each table.. coupled with the fact that I also ordered and was charged for an additional side of okra as well as a side of french fries that I did not receive until the meal was over and was forced to get it to go. I then decided to go with one of their cool Belgian beers to help ease my hunger and disappointment, for a small price of $25.99 for said 24 oz beer that began being made in 1645, That too, was also quickly made apparent that the recipe had not changed since then neither.. While I applaud them staying true to their roots in the production of their beer, It was very easily one of the most foul tasting liquids that I’ve ever put in my mouth since the day I was born. I literally felt the hair sprout for my chest as I drank it.. words cannot express how seriously I am going to try to convey the fact to you that this has been hands down the worst dining experience I’ve had in all of Maryville.. I highly recommend going to Burger King or Wendy’s.. But once again, the lady (our server) was absolutely amazing and the side salad was quite delicious! Please hear my cries.

First time ever being here. After 14 years. Lol. Best steak ever. The fat is like cotton candy. And very tender. Food is worth the money. Great service. Thanks Laura. The atmosphere was great. Definitely will be back again. Can’t say enough good stuff.
