We really wanted to like this place. The calamari salad had rings in it that were like Burger King onion rings…looked like it came out of a bag from the freezer. Chicken satay looked steamed then grilled, tasted like rubber, dumplings were salty and tasted terrible…we cut our meal short, got the check and left before the sushi and sashimi came, didn’t want to chance it.

Great sushi place in Rye! We only took rolls and they were delicious and tasty. Service was a bit slow but we also were there at a bad time. Would recommend for a new version sushi bite!

Interior is beautiful and clean. I ordered the Sushi Dinner w/ Miso Soup. The cut was nice and fresh. There was one type of fish they gave me that I didn’t particularly like though. I asked for a substitution but was told no. If I wanted other pieces, I would have to order them a la carte at $3+/piece.

The whole atmosphere is weird. Waitresses are rude. Food not good, worst chicken dumplings I’ve ever had. They served incredibly fast but rice was tasteless and lo mein too greasy. We tipped 4$ and she came and demand the minimum (which was 6$) Horrible experience.

Food was bad. Restaurant was empty on a Friday night. Waitresses was mean. Salad was weird. Hair in miso soup. Do not recommend.

I’ve been to Watermoon many of times and every time it was great but today was absolutely awful. The food was absolutely terrible. Unfortunately, water moon food quality has gone down drastically the past couple of times I’ve gotten food poisoning but I just thought eh whatever. Maybe it was something else but now I finally come to terms with it water moon food quality is absolutely horrible. It will give you food poisoning every time everything was cooked too hard and it was just disgusting. I will not be back, and I will not recommend water moon to a friend (also, their food isn’t even Japanese yet they claim to be a Japanese restaurant hm….)

The food was exquisitely delectable. The spring roles were crisp and had a nice crunch to them. I appreciate the detailed tradition Asian architecture within the facility. The low lighting adds mood to the atmosphere. The service is fairly quick and the prices are fair. As a food critic, and can confidently say that this restaurant competes well with other Asian cuisines in the area.

Food was decent, but the waitress was incredibly rude!! We tipped $1 since she was so rude, but she made us tip at least 15% ($4.50) for our meal. Of course we didn’t argue but it was a terrible experience.
