My family and I like the food here. It’s refreshing, not too oily or too fattening feeling. If that makes sense! My son likes the vegetarian minced meat with rice. My husband had the dumplings. He likes their tea too. It’s brewed fresh each time. The place is quiet and outside of the temple, it’s spacious enough to take a small walk around. There are many small statues around their yard. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a vegetarian restaurant.

Great options for vegetarians, we tried everything on the menu and everything turned out good – freshly cooked and healthy food options. They even use honey for their teas – we tried special fruit tea and black forest tea – both had real fruits and were delicious. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful, peaceful setting. Order the fruit tea and lavendar tea! We also loved the black bean noodles, edamame and potstickers. All vegan, all delicious! Update May 2023: So happy they are open again. We celebrated our wedding anniversary today by going for tea.

The teahouse restaurant is located at the Buddhist temple. The menu is simple and all vegetarian. The teas are wonderful – The lemon-ginger and lavender selections were excellent. All of the food that we ordered was delicious. The grounds are lovely and we got to tour the temple, too. If you have a larger group it’s best to make a reservation.

This is an amazing place off the beaten path. Great vegetarian food in a very peaceful setting. The restaurant is part of the temple compound. It’s clean and very pretty. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. I would come again.

A great place to be still and recharge while enjoying some delicious snacks. I heartily recommend the special friend tea, the pocket sandwiches and the purple rice. The staff are all volunteers who are happy to help and answer any questions you may have about Buddhism or the menu.

This is a secret spot that features the best vegan Taiwanese food in Houston. Do NOT skip on the fruit-flavored tea. The food has an authentic Taiwanese taste. The menu is small, there is limited seating, and they are open for lunch only. Well worth the visit.

Everything is Vegan, no eggs or milk, no garlic or onion. You won’t miss them if nobody told you! And follow the excellent meal with an outside walking meditation around the sculpture garden!
