Historic building. The staff are very nice. They have a variety of choices in their menu. The atmosphere is ok but tends to get crowded in the weekend.

If you are passing through on the 101, do yourself a favor and take the beautiful drive past idyllic California rural land and stop by this historic landmark for a great meal and a down to earth atmosphere. I ordered the NY steak sandwich for lunch… Yum!

Being from the south I was happier than 2 hogs at feeding time. Seriously though I will be a regular and highly recommend if you want some good food and country atmosphere. Could you guys start offering southern style sweet tea?

From the moment we walked in, until the moment we walked out, we loved everything. Our server, Becky, knew the menu like the back of her hand. When we told her it was our first time to Washoe House, she told us about its history and even got the key to show us upstairs.

Stopped here on the way home from our coastal vacation for breakfast. Upon entering the restaurant, we realized it is also a bar. Everyone is very friendly and service was very good. The menu is simple, but still has many of the main dishes we were looking for. I ordered the chorizo skillet and my husband order the chicken fried steak. Both meals were great and no complaints. The bar is very unique, it has money hanging everywhere from the ceiling. Appears to be a local favorite.

The T-bone was a little overcooked and fatty. The baked potato was inedible and obviously microwaved. The atmosphere went from over- crowded to completely empty within an hour. I hate to give bad reviews bcuz I think they could probably be better. Overall, it’s alright but not worth the price.

Washoe House in Petaluma truly embodies the essence of authenticity. This hidden gem is brimming with local color, exuding an irresistible charm that envelops you as soon as you step inside. Offering a delightful array of mouthwatering hamburgers and fried chicken, this establishment leaves no room for disappointment. Our waitress, the remarkable “C.T.”, added an extra touch of warmth to our dining experience. Not only was she incredibly personable, but her assistance and efficiency were commendable. Engaging in delightful conversations with her only enhanced our overall enjoyment.

Heading back to the California Foothills after spending a few days in Bodega bay. We were really hungry and looking for some breakfast. We happen to see the Washoe house right on the side of the road. The reviews were pretty poor but upon entering we are greeted by a nice older gentleman behind the bar and when we sat we were immediately greeted by our waitress who took drink orders.

Hearty portions of fried food. I ordered the fried cheese curds off the appetizer menu. There was enough on the plate to feed six people, for dinner! I didn’t have much room to eat anything else. I had to take the chicken tenders to go. They make a great bloody Mary. Service was decent. People were very friendly. Overall, it’s a neat little place.
