It gets 2 stars because breakfast is good, staff that aren’t military, are hard workers, and the place is clean but probably only due to the second reason as of why this place gets any stars. Food is just awful for dinner. The only bearable things are extremely unhealthy and almost impossible to mess up when cooking. Some examples of these foods are fries but often times I find them undercooked and cold from sitting on the line for 30 minutes. Burgers are overcooked 90% of the time but edible. Can I get good healthy food here without eating a salad every meal? Hours are ridiculous. Who on God’s green earth gets dinner at 4:30pm? And they close at 6:00pm. I’d be surprised if any leadership who’s blessed with the opportunity to eat at home with their families eats before 6pm. In an attempt to be part of the solution how about the hours get changed to 8pm close time, quality control checks, and make the staff eat what they actually cook. To all people reading this saying it’s a generational thing, and that this soldier must be a little fairy, then I’m proud to say that my generation must know how to cook for themselves because a lot of us are done with these dfacs. I’ve done too many ice reviews on these dfacs so now I’m just taking it public. I’ve told leadership too many times about the experiences I have at the dfac and no one tells me it’ll get fixed. The amount of people I know that go to the dfac is so small it’s crazy. I wonder how many people that are in these barracks spend ridiculous amounts of money to stay away from the dfac.(a lot of people dont have stoves. I dont know how people manage to avoid it and still have any money) I wish leadership would eat at a dfac for a month and see how they feel after.

Breakfast is great. Really needs improvement on everything else. Always out of napkins, condiments, chocolate milk, and just foods in general. Serving one vegetable one starch only. Closed/change of schedule without notice. Staffs are the best part about this dfac.

The worst food I’ve ever eaten. I trust 2am gas station sushi more than this place.

This dfac is trash. The workers are slow and rude as any I’ve ever been to. The food is decent. I asked a spc if they had ketchup and she said it’s in the thing labeled sweet and sour. I said bet. And I kid you not Becky this female says to me under her breath as I walk away Becky she saud.. omg she saud. You’d have know if you looked inside .. I said biiiihhhhh. How bout you put a label on the ketchup that’s ketchup. Mmhmm

The staff refuses, to put honey out and I’m curious as to why. It’s a healthier alternative, to syrup and sugar. Honey can be used in oatmeal, on pancakes, in hot tea etc. When I asked for it, I was looked at as if I was an idiot and the request was absurd. I haven’t used syrup or sugar in 3yrs so this really disrupts my routine diet.

Great food, and even greater staff. I’m thankful for the work put forth to continually make this defac better.

Great food, healthy, fresh. Dinning is Ala cart , so you pay for what you pay on the plate. Pricier than the average military DFAC

the maître d was most hospitable and quickly showed me to a VIP table. the caviar was exquisite and the wine I was recommended, paired perfectly with the filet mignon.

It better than the food I had at Benning, the coffee here doesn’t look like muddy water or taste like turpentine.
