Amazing hidden gem! One of the best (if not THE best) restaurants in up north MI. The food is superb, the ambiance is sublime, and the service is top notch (shout out to our server Josse!)… recommend the Manhattan cocktail, beef short rib, and wagyu steak! Will be back!

Our server Jodi was great. They oversat her but she worked hard to catch up. They sat us near the kitchen which I ordinarily works not mind. In this case the floor was “bouncy” and it table moved according every time the wait staff came through. Not exactly the experience I expected at a $50a plate restaurant. My Caesar salad had brown edges on some of the lettuce. The main dish was a smoked chicken that was very good. Dessert was also tasty.

I just want to say that the service was excellent and i wish i could say the same for the food. My wife and I had the whitefish and and the filet mignon….the whitefish was dry and the filet was tough. It seemed that the chef overcooked the filet too long on its own au-jus. In the end we had the creme brulee and it had more sugar thickness then the cream. Overall very disappointing for the price.

The Walloon Lake Inn Restaurant is just amazing. On the Fourth of July, we had a group of 14, 5 were children, ages 1 to age 10. The staff was so very accommodating, kind, considerate. The food was fantastic! Simply cannot say enough about how great our experience was. Thank you to the staff at the Walloon Lake Inn!
