I travel a lot for work, and I was in Oxford for the week and craving Cajun food! I was happy to find out they had a Walk-Ons because I love their food and love to watch sports, especially during football season! No matter where you sit, you can see a TV because there’s usually one above you. I ordered the Waffle Cheese Fries for my appetizer. I forgot they come with peppers on top, but they’re easy to take off if you don’t like them. I had the PASTA ALFREDEAUX entree with blackened grilled chicken, and I had to finish it off with an order of beignets (which I took back to my hotel). Everything, including the service, was wonderful!

Had to ask for saucers and silverware for appetizer and meal. Waitress not very attentive at all. Had the Louisiana platter and told it came with 8-10 shrimp and 8-10 pieces of catfish. Dish had 5 shrimp and very small slithers of fish (not catfish, likely swai fish). Serving portions very small in comparison to previous visits. This location will not be a top choice for dining.

We really, really, really want to like this place. It is close to home and has a ton of TVs with sports on. The food is ok. The atmosphere is great. However, the service, at least at the bar is very poor. We had dinner at the bar about six months ago and were dissappointed with how bad it was. But like I said, we really want to like it. So we went again tonight. Unfortunately with the same result. The bartenders both seemed miserable. No smiles, yawning, checking their phones and multiple dirty dishes at the bar from customers that were long gone. Besides that, our bill was incorrect and I didn’t even need to tell the bartender what was wrong before she stated, “I will correct it”. Why if she knew it was wrong did she give it to us? I worked as a server for many years and my husband owned a restaurant for many years. So we realize what a hard job it can be and how difficult it is working with people. We try to be very understanding. But the work ethic and the attitudes do not do justice to this beautiful sports bar. We will try again in another six months and hope the management can find better help in the meantime.

loved the atmosphere so much! our server, Genesis was great!!! the kinks of the new opening are being worked out great and I can tell everyone is still learning their positions. this is going to be a great oxford staple for the years to come. tonight, we had boudin balls for the appetizer and they were alright. there was a certain taste in the balls that was kind of off, but I love the texture of the balls. I had the pastalaya and it was very good, nice and spicy. my boyfriend had the crawfish two ways and he said that it was and I quote “crackin’” take that any way you want it. the warm chocolate chip cookie sundae was the best part of the entire meal! I totally recommend it. we will be back!

Food was okay. We did not eat all of our food and requested carry-out containers. The waitress stated that she could give us a bag to throw our food in. Thankfully, we thought to ask for aluminum foil to separate our food. If you eat here, be prepared to bring your own containers for any leftovers.

Walk-ons has become my favorite place in town. They are always prompt and accommodating to me and all of my guests. I usually just sit at the bar and am a frequent visitor. I’m never empty handed and am always greeted and treated like a king. I can’t even begin to pick a favorite bartender. Alexa is amazing, and today I met Alexis who just started 2 weeks ago! She is so kind. Cam always makes me laugh, and my goodness Sarah is an absolute delight. Always smiling. Genesis always brightens my day doesn’t matter the mood. Also they have the BEST managers in town. If y’all run into Walk-Ons ask for Jordan or Grant. They’ll make your Walk-Ons experience amazing
