The only reason I’m giving a 2 is because my husband enjoyed his sandwich. My side item was wrong. The worst was opening up the mozzarella sticks and taking out the sauces just to find not 1 but 2 hairs! It’s hard to tell in the pic but one is really long and curly too. Bye bye app!

Not a bad visit to Walk On’s. Service was middle of the road – sometimes the bar is on point and sometimes it a bit slow, even with few customers at it. Cajundillas are hit or miss. This particular visit was miss – generally flavorless but a fine concept when executed well. The red beans on the side, gimme a bowl of that though cause they were hitting the spot on this trip. The fried pickles seem to always be a good choice. Breading sticks well, always hot and crispy. Sweet potato fries were great, and I don’t remember exactly what poboy the girlfriend had but she enjoyed it. Skip the Cajundilla and go straight for the red beans that come with it and you’ll thank yourself later. Overall, still a good choice in the area.

Atmosphere was nice. Almost all the food was good. We had a good time. I read a review from someone else and this is why we went tonight. The other reviewer mentioned a blackberry moonshine margarita. I had one and it was very good. Made the trip worth it for sure. I thank the other reviewer for mentioning it in their review and I thank Walk-Ons for having the drink. One of the sliders was not well done, otherwise all was good, everyone enjoyed their food, and had a good time.

Earlier this evening, I place an order to go. I’ve dined in a couple of times and was ok. We’ve experienced long waits with the food and service. This was the first time ordering to go. I ordered a whole grilled shrimp po-boy. Normally, you would get about 10-12 shrimp. Sadly, there were just two shrimp on each half. They put three slices of tomatoes and three thin slices of lettuce. It was very disappointing. You get better quality at Burger King. I recommend avoiding the Walk-Ons in Hammond, LA. It’s not worth the money you pay and not worth being taken advantage of. This is always a sign of management not being engaged with your employees. Extremely poor.

We had lunch with a friend here. It was our first time eating here and they did not disappoint! My duck and sausage gumbo was delicious. You can’t beat authentic gumbo! My husband ordered a burger and fries and he enjoyed his meal immensely too! Great place with great food!
