Walk through the door, and you’re stepping back in time. This historic place looks like it has probably never changed. With Elvis memorabilia everywhere, it plays to the fact that the King ate there. What’s most notable is the very good food, the friendly atmosphere, and the reasonable prices. I had the “All Shook Up” Omelet and it was wonderful… light, fluffy, and packed with veggies, meat, and cheese. This is a fun spot. Bring cash… no credit cards accepted.

Never have seen an owner THAT rude, to her customers that aren’t white and to her employee. I was astonished by the way she spoke to her employee, no respect what’s so ever. Denied me service for having a service dog, and yelled at her employee for allowing us inside.

This is an old restaurant where Elvis Presley stop twice for breakfast. Real home style cooking for a great price. I would go there again. Now I know why Elvis stopped there twice.

I took my service dog in there and what I imagine to be the owner, proceeded to say that she couldn’t have my service dog in the restaurant in a very rude way and that “she was on the seat and that she was gonna be on the floor and that she was all over her things” and proceeded to also say that my dog wasn’t a service dog, which is ablest and rude. I’ve spent years in the service industry and this is not how you handle it.

Great spot for meeting new people. You get to talk with the regulars at the breakfast bar. Elvis ate here. The people are nice. You don’t get this feel and experience anywhere else. It’s like you walked into a diner of a few decades ago because you get the small town feel and community. The store is owned by a caring woman named Dolly. She’s been running it for years (the last 35 years, I think). It’s gonna get more expensive to keep this restaurant alive as rents go up in Sarasota so come down and show your support! You’ll be glad that you did! It is cash only. There’s an ATM. It’s not a big corporate chain restaurant. It’s an authentic, old school, hometown diner type feel that you won’t and can’t get anywhere else! Come stop by!

Going to this place with my dad since I was an actual baby (I’m 31) and it’s always been charming, delicious, fairly priced, and the staff felt like family members. It is so special, the best little diner in Sarasota without a doubt.
