Wait staff were cool. However whoever the cook is in the back needs to stop blasting kpop from her phone and talking to her friend sitting in an booth. Missed the call out for my food because of the selfmade distractions between her phone and the friend all while demeaning the waitress for “not talking loud enough”. *cook not paying attention talking to friend* “yOu nEeD tO tAlK lOuDeR!” Man. First time here too, weird vibes.

No water, the egg whipping device broke, the cook a complete joke said the grits were 24 hrs old I asked doesn’t it only take 15 minutes to make grits. She replied I don’t even care. Honestly I believe she’s woke and entitled running customers off so she don’t have to cook not the first time i have seen her do this to customers. If you want to find out so you don’t go woke broke. She was the cook on staff 6/12/23 at 3pm. I will warn all my friends on face book to avoid her and the Waffle House until you can deal with 24 hours old grits.

Not a better Waffle House around than Saraland. Great service every time, great food, every time. Then you have to have a good crew with a good manager, and Sam is the best, known her all my life, and she is a hard worker and has proven herself to run a tight ship. I have been to most in Mobile, but Saraland is first choice. My Grandson thinks so too.

Do not go in at evening shift change. Outgoing servers will not serve you even if the incoming replacements have not arrived yet. Poor teamwork 8:30 to 9ish pm. And they are yelling, or talking very loudly about it. Bad business practice.

Don’t go during the hours between 8:30 pm to 9:30 . For the second time my wife and I came in at this time and it was total unprofessional chaos! The coffee was cold waffles burnt , the staff was at each other’s throat . I will never come during these hours and recommend if you want a peaceful meal go somewhere else!
