We stopped in on our way home from Gatlinburg. I ordered the sausage egg and cheese bowl and my husband ordered the Texas cheese steak plate. It was so good we tipped the waitress (destiny) and the cook (rich).

My food was served before my drink. The knife provided had noticeably sized food particles on it. I happen to really like most waffle houses and understand a busy night, but it wasn’t I was one of two tables in there. My food was good and timely.

I went into the Waffle House to get my breakfast before work on 7/18/23 @7 am. I sat my phone and card on the counter to put butter on my meal. Left! Did not realize I had left my debit card. The manager of the Waffle House stole my debit card. He spent my money at GameStop twice, vape store, shoe show, Lowe’s, shell station twice spending over 700.00 before it stopped him. He even tried multiple times doing an online order at Walmart but since he wasn’t matching address with my card it didn’t allow him so then he went back to shopping again. He was arrested and caught on camera in multiple places. He still has his job at the Sylva Waffle House . I am trying to get ahold of corporate. The manager has court coming up and he admitted to everything that he done when they showed him they had him on camera using my card. He told them everything he did. I would not trust this location when a manager steals from customers. Companies like this should be ashamed to even let him stay after what he did. They didn’t even make things right and fire him. I will be at court!!! He tried saying he found it in a parking lot when I had been in there and left my card. He’s a criminal who steals from customers. Will be back to this review to post his picture, charges, court dates and everywhere he spent my card. Karma! Want to keep him there after what he did I will not stop and going to WLOS and the sylva herald as well. You don’t steal from me and my family.

I wouldn’t even give this place one star if that was an option. Horrible we couldn’t even eat the bacon. This lady had the nerve to ask if everything was okay when we ask for the check after taking one bite. Hubby’s philly cheese steak was not done, I ask if they had crispy chicken sandwich, she said yes then brings some grilled chicken that was dripping with grease and I guess that was a hashbrown. The cook was outside smoking when we got there and smoking when we left never went near the sink to wash his hands. I’m furious that I was even served that mess none the less charged for it. I mean really, I have been a waitress at a couple different places and I would have at least ask if there was something I could do to make it better.

Great place to get sick at. Floor dirty. Food burnt. No hair nets or beard nets. Hash browns were like spaghetti noodles. Plate full of grease. Only thing was good was the young waitress she was polite and took care of the table. Cook and rest left out while people was eating was nowhere to be found for 15-20 min. Waste money and time.

Had half restaurant barricaded off leaving only a couple tables and the bar open for customers. Night cook blowing nose and not washing his hands. And telling people they can’t take nothing over a twenty. Floors and restrooms nasty.

Went into Waffle House on Sunday May 7th and half of the store was blocked off with chairs. Only three tables were being used and the rest of the tables were empty but the waitress wouldn’t let me sit in them because she said it was blocked off for the second shift??! She said I could sit at the counter but that would not work because I was meeting someone to discuss something and I’d like to face them instead of sitting at the counter like I’m at a waffle bar. You lost my business that day (and I’m usually a decent tipper). Youu made your company look stupid. Obviously you didn’t want to do the work of cleaning the tables if they were occupied. Shabby!

They have a B cleanliness rating for a reason. The Waffles are great. The hash browns are reminiscent of chopped noodles more than potatoes. A lil odd, but still edible.
