The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and attentive, the seating was acceptably comfortable and my buddy talked me into trying some menudo which was very tasty, my only problem with my visit was that my eyes were bigger than my stomach and they weren’t lying when they warned us that the portions were big, I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality Mexican food!

What a hidden gem! Came in on the recommendation of a friend and am NOT disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. They clearly care about their customers and ensuring all of your dinner needs are met.

This restaurant reminded me of back home. Very pleasant atmosphere, and the most wonderful people. The food was incredible. I would most definitely recommend this spot for anyone who enjoys a quiet atmosphere and good food. They also have a wonderful selection of breakfast items as well. I will definitely be going back. The 2 people in my photo are Jerry and his son Edgar. Jerry’s wife was hard at work in the back creating miracles. Thank you so much guys. Oh and they have a drive through.

In an old diner from the 40s, seating is limited. The owners are great people. Always friendly and upbeat. And the food is AMAZING! (Get the tamales. They are the absolute best in Topeka!)

Vuelve A La Vida, Topeka, Kansas about a block south of 24. Truck parking around back. Not sure about overnight but definitely a great place to spend a 30 min break. The food was outstanding and the people were just as great. Authentic as it gets. Today’s special was 2 sopas, rice and beans, per usual I added chorizo on mine. Hand made sopas were excellent! They also sell horchata in a big boy size which made me happy 32oz. I enjoyed the food so much I ordered 6 spicy tamales to go. I have had ALOT of tamales in my life, and I judge them rather hard because not many live up to my childhood expectations. Have to update you on the taste later. They are the largest tamales I have ever seen. Easily 3/4 of a pound a piece!

I had a tostada with ground beef and beans and rice. The tostada was delicious but it was very small. The beans and rice were dry. The service was good, very friendly and the restaraunt was clean.

Wonderful breakfast. Wonderful family. Will definitely be going back for more. Ask for the hot sauce. It’s so spicy and so good.

Very authentic enchiladas, so nice to find somewhere that makes them. The rice and beans were good as well. The horchata had a nice flavor, just a little sweet and the refill was a little chalky. Just an FYI I wasn’t told when asking for a refill that the refill would be full price. Will definitely return!
