The food was definitely a great addition to Iowa City!!! The food was definitely Western with a mighty touch from South side. Truth be told though, a restaurant with the waitress called Beyoncé is a bop!!!

The baked toma appetizer was absolutely amazing!!! Our Server was incredible- Storm !! He rocked it…. Gave us all the ins and outs of what to order and our food was absolutely incredible!! Even found Out it was our 20th anniversary and went in above and beyond and gave us this!!!!

Needing a different view without leaving Iowa, try the Vue. The rooftop view is spectacular. The ambiance is off the chart for a downtown restaurant that seems to be an upscale sports bar that serves classy entrees with a sensational view of Iowa City— home of the Hawks — the prices are above average, but well within reason for entrees that are 4 star. The bone in pork chop I ordered was outstanding in flavor and presentation. The chef is a super star in presenting an entree that hits every mark in flavor and taste!

We made a reservation for a friend’s 30th birthday on Sunday night. Parking wasn’t ideal and signage on the outside of the building is minimal, but we didn’t have too much trouble finding it since, ya know, we knew it was on the rooftop!

The service was very slow. I sat there for approximately 10 minutes without the server even doing a drive-by. Eventually, I went to the bar to get a beer. I order the bone in pork chop. It was a very thin cut mostly fat and slightly under cooked. The Brussel sprouts were dry and under cooked. On the positive side I paid 5.00 for bread and some olive oil. Overall I was not impressed and would not go back. There are too many other restaurants in the area. The view was very nice and the Iowa city beer was good.

I had the lobster and risotto. It was good. Didn’t blow my socks off though. Lobster was 4oz at best guess. Risotto was a little rich but I understand that it should be. We also had the shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were huge! I really liked them. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a good dinner!

Ambience is great. Food is solid, their appetizers are all amazing. Wine selection was also nice. Mezcalrita was tasty, although I wish they had a wider selection of mezcal. My mojito was lackluster. I had to ask for more mint, and the lime juice was overpowering and also did not taste fresh. It was served in a hurricane glass, which lead to the imbalanced taste. The bartenders were young though, and you can only work with what you have at your disposal! Hopefully management will provide them with the tools they need to make their cocktails even better.
