Loved the place! Had some excellent buffalo wings and a couple of brews. Good service and friendly bartenders. They have a nice outside deck with a bar, very handy since the band plays outside in good weather. Speaking of the band, you have got to check out these guys “Skitchin” especially if you like good rock music. Of course I might be prejudiced because their lead singer is my son. Get up to Caroga lake and check out Vroomans.

I have been going to Vrooman’s since I was a small child. 40+ years. A true staple of Caroga Lake. The one place that truly never changes. Best food in town. Great prices. On trips up to the cabin my father would repeat the almost folklore like stories of big polka band nights at Shermans during the 60s and 70s. Some of the family would be drinking at Vroomans and the kids would run off to ride the rides or go on the big swing. Before they left the only liquor store in town was off to the side. Grand stories when Caroga was really the wild west. God’s country. I don’t remember those days but everytime I pass this landmark it hits me with all types of nostalgia. I do remember as a teenager they had a dog that would sleep and walk around that I made friends with by giving it some hamburger.

When we arrived it was near 8p. A woman at the door said we could order but it would have to be quick since kitchen was breaking down for 8p close. We were greeted by an awesome waitress. She showed us the specials and the full menu. We had the same thing coffee and Reuben. The coffee was fresh and hot and the sandwiches were likewise and delicious. While we were waiting for order we heard com.ents from the staff..saying “you shouldn’t have taken order” it was still not 8p. We told the waitress we didnt want her getting in trouble and we could go elsewhere. However, she assured us there was no issue at all. We enjoyed our meal and didntdilly dally. I just want to st to the owner how great the waitress was and kuddos to kitchen staff for a great dinner

Much better than that stoner place up the road. They took 2 hours 15 minutes to make a steak and trout. Vrooman was a tiny bit slower than expected but within 40 mins
