I told my sister I wanted chicken and rice when she picked us up from the airport. She did not disappoint! Amazing! Everything was so fresh and really good. The food looked amazing. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly. I asked to come back again before we leave. YUM!

The food was cold and the wrong order. The manager was extremely rude and told me “Take it now!” He wouldn’t correct the order nor would he heat up the chicken. He started screaming at us “Get out!” which really frightened us. DO NOT GO TO EAT HERE… PLEASE! The Chinese owner is a maniac!

This place is clean, bright & so welcoming! We tried the honey, garlic, chili & fried chicken! We also had the crispy rice cake & mandoo! The portions were perfect! It was so finger licking good!!! Like crispy licking good! I brought 10 kids to the breakout room next door for a birthday party. I called ahead to let them know I would be ordering and they were so accommodating! We came back about 30 minutes before closing and the owners Jason & Judy were so kind and patient with our loud kids! The kids loved the chicken and the fries too! They are so picky, ranging from 7-13 years old, but they got real quiet when the food came! It was like magic! There was a little dining area that was clean and they also provide hand sanitizer on each table! We will definitely come back! They pack it perfectly to go so if you want to order to pick up for a picnic or party this is the place!! So bummed I didn’t get any pictures…the kids were like vultures and the chicken was gone before I could even snap a photo! Von’s Chicken is kid approved & a crowd pleaser for sure!!

We’ve eaten chicken wings in every city and country we go to and these rank near the top. The outside is crispy and flavorful, inside is moist and juicy. We got the spicy and snow flavored wings and we devoured both of them.

My new number #1. Great taste, juicy, awesome flavors. Everything they sell tastes great! The sides like rice cake, mandoo, Daikin, and kimchee is just right not too over powering. The owners are super nice and always offer me something to drink. Good chicken and great service is what it’s all about. I had a large order and they didn’t have food delivery but they helped me out by delivering to my workplace. Unbelievable!!!! I’ll always come to the Halekauwila location.
