This place is really neat. I absolutely loved the food. We ordered a bunch of entrees to share “family-style” and everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. German cuisine served in the states usually isn’t prepared as well as these guys do it. I’m impressed. The atmosphere is great for a group of friends or families. 100% would recommend. We’ll ask them to cater for a family reunion soon.

Outstanding German Pub tucked away in Midtown. Great Beer & Eats! Outside, an intoxicating wood fired grill, smoked up the best brats, grilled beets & cabbage I’ve ever had since Germany. The brews were hardy & delightful.. the staff was friendly, focused and knowledgeable. The attention to detail was impressive! One of Reno’s BEST KEPT Secrets!! I ‘will DEFINITELY be back!

Never leave wanting more. Always a great meal, with great service. The Grilled Beets started off dinner, then we had Otto’s Best Wurst and the Rauchhuhn which never disappoint. We finally had time to try the Schwenkbraten, WOW! I say finally because it takes a while for this dish. Finished off with the Goat Cheese Cheesecake.

Oooh those curry fries are damn good! Add a pretzel and a big beer and you’ll be sitting pretty. The largest glass size turned into an unexpected workout for my forearm 🙂 Great outdoor seating area and the staff were great!

Von Bismarck is wonderful! If you are looking for something different and a great atmosphere, this is the place to check out. If you are traveling through and it looks a little far off the freeway, it’s worth it! The beer is a great, German selection and the food is a nice spin on classic German fare. The customer service is also incredible, as the waitstaff going above and beyond.

Relaxed outside. The food is a very creative way of fire cooked German favorites. Our Server was beyond excellent. She did everything-from Host work to waiting on multiple tables. She was always instantly there for us. She had great menu, seating and beer suggestions. Really enjoyed this place!!!

Verseless Cooking
A neat al fresco style Beer Hall with cement tables, and parachute cord chairs. It takes the concept of the Bierhall and drags it kicking with its lederhosen into the 21st century.
