I ate all you can eat dinner which is 31 dollars and it’s totally worth it. All the sushi are fresh and delicious! Rolls are good too!

Had a piece of mackerel that tasted spoiled. Did not eat it. I love fish, butcher fish, and eat plenty of fish and sushi. I wish I had listened to the review that said the food was not good quality, and especially not for the price.

Would not go here again. The food is cheap, and for a reason. Quality was terrible. Bland and mushy. I’ve literally never had worse sushi. I know this seems blunt, but just being realistic. My friend got the hibachi which looked pretty good, but not enough to make me want to go back. Don’t let the all you can eat fool you.

Food was delicious! The fish was fresh and the dressing was tasty. The location next to UIC makes it a convenient spot for a quick meal. The staff is friendly and the place has a nice chill vibe. The new owner (since 8months) revived the restaurant and greatly improved it. Greatly recommended!

Great neighborhood restaurant for some comfort food sushi! Friendly staff with awesome service and effective communication! New owner took over the restaurant with bad/mediocre reviews since 8/2022 so don’t be deterred if looking at the old ones 🙂 The mood is chill and food was ON POINT.

The sushi itself inside the sushi roll all looked like catfood. My girlfriend took a bite of a piece of sushi and she pulled out a long piece of fat that was inside the sushi, made her gag and not finish the rest of it. I was quite put off by it as well and didn’t finish the rest of mine. The atmosphere was pretty depressing but our waitress was very nice and attentive to us both.

Food was good… until I found a sharp piece of glass? Or metal in my rice… very disappointed because I really liked this spot but now I’m a bit nervous to return.

Volcano is the place to go. We ordered delivery this time are are pleasantly surprised at the presentation and quality. This is my go to place for sushi especially if you’re around the UIC area. The key to friendly service I find is tip the sushi chefs as soon as getting seated. They have a communal tip jar and I throw in one or two dollars and I find that the rolls come out fast and the service is too.

All you can eat for $20 is worth is if you’re running on an empty stomach. For those that aren’t that hungry, bento boxes ($11) are the way to go. They have a great selection of milkshakes and you can order rolls/sushi in smaller portions. The service was quick and the waiters attentative. This place is a must for all wandering around Taylor St.

I ordered 3 rolls, one of them being a sweet potato roll (which I asked if they could make as they don’t have this explicitly on the menu, and she told me yes). Clearly she misunderstood me because they gave me a Philadelphia roll instead. There was also this mysterious particle on the roll that looks to be like an eyelash?
