Amazing menu, heathy mexican food made with proper ingredients. Viva is the classiest taco joint ever! Great lunch specials. Complete lunch meals with a soda for $10 and under! I had the two taco deal. I had one grilled fish taco and one fried fish taco. Two primo fish tacos with rice and beans plus a soda, $10 at lunch. Also a 3 taco meal deal is $15. Best value for a pescatarian meal downtown, hands down.

I brought my out-of-town guest to Viva because the food has always been excellent. (The service has always been slow, however.) Our waitress forgot about us because she was dealing with a wedding party. The food was exceptionally spicy. I love spicy food but this was inedible. I grabbed a pitcher of water off the bar because our water glasses had not been refilled during the entire meal. We continued to wait for our bill for quite awhile (20 minutes?). It wasn’t until a manager of the Current walked by and saw us looking displeased that our waitress came to our table with our check and apologized that she’s so busy, she forgot about us. There was other wait staff, standing around talking. I’ve never not left a tip for wait staff until that night.

The service was fantastic. The server was very kind and refilled our drinks promptly. The food took awhile despite how few tables were seated, but the worst was the shrimp cocktail. We ordered two shrimp cocktail appetizers which were fairly bad. It had less than four shrimp in each cocktail and the sauce was extremely celery salty. It was too salty to enjoy and the sauce itself tasted like concentrated bloody mary mix. For how expensive it was I’d expect to get a few more shrimp and a better flavor. My dad’s burrito was good, though. I would give it no stars, but our server was excellent. They deserved five stars alone.

So Viva is going through a transition, when we were there the server said they were moving away from Mexican and towards a Farm to Table theme. The food had been amazing in the past, but this time it was not. Poor presentation of the food, food quality was okay but tacos were definitely not worth $13 more like $5. Service was good this time but it took them forever to get us our drinks from the bar. We also had Sangria and a top shelf margarita that was not worth the price. So I’m not sure our visit this time was so bed because Viva has an identity crisis but we will not be going there again.

I was with a group of about 20 people for work meetings. The manager was informed earlier that day we would be coming in for dinner and drinks and she promised they would be ready with extra wait staff and bartenders. Unfortunately this was not the case. We were seated immediately but our drink orders were not taken for at least 20 minutes after we sat down. Our meal orders were not taken for at least another 20-30 min. The waitress that was serving us did the best she could under the circumstances and we have no complaints against her. The other employees and the manager on duty did absolutely nothing to help this poor girl. Not only were we not happy with the service the food was not good. It had no flavor and just very bland. I personally will never step foot in your doors again and I know others I was with had said the same thing.

The service was very friendly, but a little slow to help us out even though I’m pretty sure we were her only table. The food for the most part was really well done. We went for breakfast and the menu wasn’t overwhelming which was a good thing for us. Good, Spicy Bloody Mary. My biggest complaint is how much grease was in the bottom of my Midwest bowl.

The staff tries hard, but this place just isn’t worth it. I don’t see it being around very long.

We were staying at the hotel, and ate breakfast there at Viva. We were seated immediately and got our coffee, but they never refilled our cups so we had to do ourselves. Our food took over an hour to arrive. First we were offered free Mamosas, which we declined, still didn’t get our food! Told the waitress we were going to complain to management (turns out there was none on site). Eventually got the meal comped. I can’t blame the waitress, she was working her butt off! They were short staffed. We didn’t return despite our 3 night stay. The food was good once we got it, but definitely not worth the trouble.

Beautiful dining room. Disappointing food and service. Lavender prosecco cocktail was lovely. Only one other table on a Saturday night. Waitress brought soup and main course all together. Tables are small. She never cleared the soup dishes. Table was filled with dirty plates when we asked for the bill. Wait staff too busy making conversation with other staff to bother with diners. Training, customer service lacking. Pasta over cooked. Mushy. This establishment must get serious with attention to detail.

A Tuesday night, we had a group of 25 people that management knew was coming. Our server Jennifer, was helpful and trying very hard. She needed more help to assist her. She kept her composure despite her frustrations. It was alot of work for 1 person. Management should have done more to help her. The food was mediocre given the pricing. Taking in to consideration there were 25+ people in the group and we all have the same conclusion. Atmosphere was good though.
