This place has not changed since the first time I started to go here over 30 years ago. I am the University of Iowa class of 1997, and nothing has changed in here except for more TVs 🙂 I had some great chicken wings and some bottled beers. It’s nice to see establishments still thriving after all these years.

do NOT eat here. firstly our food was still frozen when it was brought out, and then we got coleslaw which had a super funky and sour taste. Entire party of 5 got food poisoning when we got home in just 2 hours. Insanely ridiculous for the place to be having such high prices when there’s obviously some cross contamination or some kind of improper food safety storage going on. Also super tiny portion sizes for such high prices. please don’t eat here save yourself some money and go anywhere else better. bill came out to be $150, which again, ridiculous cause it came with a side of food poisoning, but don’t worry! that was free of charge

I payed $16 for 3 tacos specifically the carne asada tacos, they were so expensive I expected them to be amazing but sadly they were the opposite. As someone who was born and raised in Mexico City I’ve had my fair share of tacos and let me tell you these were absolutely horrible. The carne asada was so dry that I literally felt like I was choking on them. They used red onions instead of white onions and they’re were way too many, not to mention they barely used any cilantro. Later when I got home I had the worst stomach. I really wanted to like this restaurant but after this experience I will definitely not be returning.

Had these wings in Tempe AZ years ago and when our road trip was going to be taking us through Iowa City I HAD to recommend the stop. We got a couple orders of mild wings to go and they were as delicious as I remember! Pro-tip ask for well-done if you like your wings with a crunch. Happy to be able to have supported local as well! To-Go orders are available via phone.

The food was so-so. I had Alfredo and it wasn’t that good. It was supposed to be served with garlic bread but I didn’t get it. I had the potato skins appetizer and it was amazing. The waitress was great and the shots were very good. All in all I would recommend the Vine

I go for the wings. They do a great job. A fun place to stop in Iowa City. Get the sweet chili wings, excellent. Add a beer because this is America.
