A nice place that has a city bar vibe in the suburbs. Great for cocktails or a glass of wine and some bites. I enjoyed my experience here. I would’ve liked to be able to pick the wines that I got for my wine flight instead of getting whatever whites or reds they happen to have open. I suppose on one hand it’s a good way to be surprised but on the other it limits you. I was much happier with the cocktails. The servers were nice enough, although I do prefer and am used to a more personable bartender. That is just personal preference.

My daughter has been here several times so when I asked “Where do you want to go to dinner for your birthday?” She said Vine & Plate, and I am so happy she did! I can’t say enough for the quality of food, the beautiful plating, and the excellent service given by Cari Anne! It’s a gem! Haven’t been to a food establishment worthy of a review in a long long time! I will be back (from Des Plaines!)

Good luck if you get seated in the back dining area which is really the kitchen and storage room. I’m shocked someone thought it was appropriate to add tables here. It’s an open kitchen in the back with no noise or smoke control. There’s also just random things stored out in the open which made it unenjoyable. Throughout the dinner there were extremely loud clattering dishes from the kitchen where I jumped in my seat multiple times and smoke filled the entire room to the point that the four other tables were making comments. It doesn’t seem food safe not having a proper kitchen ventilation system. It was also so hot to the point that we finished the meal early because it was uncomfortable. There were also so many flies around us. The meat entrees we got were dry and my avocado was hard. The service was great and our waitress was really kind. The front of the restaurant looks beautiful and less loud. But unfortunately we will not be coming back here. Such an unenjoyable experience that I haven’t dealt with in years.

Really enjoyed our visit! The lighting and decor is very cozy. We did small plates to share, and everything was delicious. The little burgers were especially good! The chicken pot pie was a special of the day, and was excellently seasoned. Really enjoyed the apple puff pastry for dessert to share. We will definitely be back for date night soon!

Took about 25 minutes to get a bottle of wine, 30 minutes in we were unexpectedly given our side of roasted brussel sprouts which were boiled instead of roasted,but no sandwiches, then at about 45 minutes from ordering we received sandwiches. Sandwiches were tasty. Dessert was ok, but rushed due to the kitchen closing.

This was our first time at Vine and Plate. They have a very nice small plate menu. Lots of different things to try. The soups were delicious. The baked Bree cheese and goat cheese were wonderful. Everything was so fresh. The cocktail of the day, the hurricane, was powerful and refreshing. We will be coming here again and again.

Visited for lunch and enjoyed the leisurely, relaxed vibe. It was perfect for a catch-up with a friend; we didn’t feel rushed at all. Great selection of wines and small plates — my friend enjoyed the Breaking Bread orange wine but had a hard time deciding! We felt the same way about the menu and will have to come back to try some of the other interesting dishes. The baked goat cheese, summer melon salad (special), and citrus chicken salad were all delicious and great for sharing. We subbed salmon for chicken since there wasn’t any chicken prepped for lunch service; it was a smidge overdone but still great with the rest of the salad, which was full-sized and not a small plate like the melon salad special. Overall, looking forward to returning!

One waitress, who was also the bartender. This place would easily get 5 stars but they just aren’t staffing it properly. It’s Friday night and the place is packed. The food is amazing, the atmosphere lovely, but 30-45 minutes between apps and drinks. It’s been 2 hours and we were just able to order entrees.

Excellent drinks and dessert on an early Monday night, for an impromptu birthday get together. Staff were friendly and helpful. Whiskey flight was delightful, and we enjoyed the variety of domestic and international wines.
