Just wanted to start off and say the service was great. However, everything else seems to fall off. The food was ok, other than the tiny kids burger (see image)… The actual meat is tiny and the rest is just bread and cheese.

Update. I rarely rip on a place, I’d rather not review them but this only got worse (note we have a Wednesday night weekly get together of 4 to 10 folks) After VI reached out based on the first review (read below) things changed, the first revisit was great and the food was excellent (see photo). The next two times were terrible. Both time I ordered an item and asked for bacon on the side (I don’t eat it for religious reasons). The first visit back the omelet was served with the bacon so I asked for it to be fixed. The food was served again but they simply took the bacon out and reheated it. When I asked it to be remade the cook was noticeably upset (I walked it back to explain why taking it off wasn’t acceptable for me). The next time the sandwich was served with the bacon on a separate plate, awesome. Sadly, after a couple of bites I realized the sandwich was prepared with the bacon on it and having never eaten bacon ever (perhaps coupled with a psychosomatic response) sent me to the sink and ultimately toilet. When I got back to my chair and my friend saw me sick realized he had heard the waitress tell the cook the bacon was supposed to be on the side. Obviously the cook made it contrary to the order and instead of doing the right thing pulled the bacon off and put it on the side. The manager felt “terrible” and gave me a $5.00 coupon to come back, lol. Not only is this incredibly unethical, it was a violation of my trust and beliefs which is unacceptable by any business. As I said, I don’t write bad reviews but I feel after two events it’s necessary to let VI know there is a problem. And it’s not just this restaurant, I’ve had similar incidents at other VI’s I simply let go. Since I’ve moved my group to a different chain I hope they’ll figure out how to train their staff better.

I mean if you like going to Village Inns or Waffle House’s it’s a good bang for the buck. Wednesday is Pie day, free slice of pie, and their pies are deluxe. Over the years I’ve probably gained many pounds at this very restaurant. One of my most favorite meals that they serve is biscuits and gravy with two eggs and hash browns it comes with two sausage. However, because of my dietary restrictions I can no longer enjoy this savory meal. The atmosphere in ambience supports lively conversation.

This place is popular for being the America’s best pie and indeed they had a lot of pies options. I tried the coconut cream pie and it had a very thin crust, a little on the sweet note but yummy. Went here around 11 am for breakfast and thought it was busy and it took a little longer then usual food came out as expected and our server was very friendly. I had the spinach bacon omelet and it was yummy eggs were well cooked and fluffy. The dish came with hashbrowns and choice of English muffin, toast or 3 pancakes.

My daughter ordered a salad the 1st one brought out was completely Brown. We sent it back the second salad came the salad was fine. The ranch tasted like mayonaise. I got a breakfast skillet there was so much meat in it and nothing else. It would be fine if I was an extreme meat lover, but i’m not. It took them it took quite some time to seat us when there was only 2 other people in restaurant. Waitress was nice but very flighty.

3rd Horrible experience. Ordered family meal. This isn’t the first time. I don’t know why I keep doing this. I have a family of four kids. The “chicken fried steak” looked like a large chicken nugget and the potatoes where sour. I ordered to receive the pie, I ordered weeks ago. Not one person ate that meal, don’t worry I compost. My husband stopped at McDonalds on the way home from work) I was trying to order out, so I could get stuff done. Instead had to feel frustrated hearing my kids yelling I don’t want to eat it and I couldn’t blame them. I literally could have cooked something better in the microwave. (SAVE YOUR MONEY) I called to let them know there potatoes are bad. I had previously spent a lot time on the phone with their employees and manager. I hate confrontation it’s the worst and will avoid it at all cost and yes it cost me but I will never eat here again. Good day.

The food was excellent. Best waffles I can remember having. The poor server was serving the entire restaurant by herself and she handled it the best she could and kept a smile on her face, but because she was alone, service was slow. Not her fault at all. I don’t understand why the management would do that to her. I loved the food so I will go back, and hopefully it will be better.
