We were just passing through on our way to Wisconsin and wanted to eat somewhere local and not a big chain restraunt. The food was AMAZING! The staff was very nice and suggested some awesome things for us all to try. Even for our 8 yr old son. He LOVED his food! The setting was so cute just like a little home town place would be. The portions for the price were spot on. This is def a place we wil have to try to stop again.

Tried to place a to go order and was denied. Restaurant only had 5 tables that were sat. 2 bigger parties, 2 4 tops and a 2 top seated. The bigger parties already had their food and one of the 4 tops were also eating. 4 workers were sitting down chatting and told the gentleman that asked if I needed a table that “we are doing no to go orders” but yet they deliver. I’ve been eating there once every month or 2 for over 10 yrs. Have taken multiple to go orders generally on Sundays before kickoff of the noon NFL games and never had a problem placing and getting a to go order in the past. The last two times I’ve tried, when it was busy at all, and have been told no to go orders, but yet I could have gotten a table to eat at. I always support local family businesses but I’ll never step foot in this establishment ever again. Which sucks cuz they have the best biscuits n gravy in the area.

Choice of beer battered perch or regular batter was a nice option. I don’t like a lot of breading. Broiled would have been better for me as I shouldn’t have any fried food.

I love this breakfast place in Huntley! Service is great and food is good! They serve well but prices on sodas are a little overpriced. I usually just get something plain like a pancake with bacon and its pretty good. I personally like this place quite a bit. I recommend coming here.

It was the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. The people that we encountered were delightful. From the greeter, hostess, to the waitress and even the fellow customers, every single one of them were friendly. It was a great way to spend an evening in a unfamiliar town.

Great food, great service. We went to our nieces birthday party. They treated us like family. The service was outstanding. Fast and delicious. The entire staff would help out when we had different courses coming. It was open menu so they had their work cut out for them. They did amazing. They helped pull off a wonderful surprise party.

If you are looking for a small-town family operated restaurant, the Village Inn is a great place to eat. Their homemade soups are fantastic! I typically enjoy their Monte Cristo sandwich, but during my last visit, I shocked everyone and ordered the Cheese Steak sandwich; it was fantastic!
