Tiny hole in the wall restaurant with great food and service. I had an excellent caldo de pollo. Reminded me a lot of my mother’s version of it. Prices are reasonable. I paid 12 50 for the soup and a cup of coffee. Only has 2 staff members, but they are very attentive.

This is a grandma restaurant. The food is delicious, but don’t expect a trendy spot. The owner is 75+ years old. She closes when she needs to rest, so don’t get angry if u show up and it is closed. Best authentic Mexican food you can get. Just like grandma used to make. It is like stepping into grandmas house. She has amazing stories too.

I’m from Sacramento but when I’m in LA I like to pay visit to Vickys. I’ve had the Chicken soup. Menudo, Albondigas and other dishes cooked w/ so much heart and soul. I definitely recommend if you like home cooking
