Via has excellent NY-style pies and great Sicilian style, too. I’ve tried many in the area, and as a former Chef I am very picky about what the style should and shouldn’t be. We gave them a shot last year and they nailed it. Now, they are our family’s go-to shop when we vacation near Stony Brook. The pies are very large, so count heads accordingly. I’m 6’1”, 200 lbs and 2 slices of sausage/mushroom had me stuffed.

Pizza falls very flat for the price. Not much flavor and very crispy. Kinda feels more like flavored crackers. The garlic nots were more like bread sticks. This place is off my list of place to go in the area.

Went for 2 Caesar salads with grilled chicken and one slice. $48! Way too expensive. Caesar had no Parmesan cheese! Chicken was pre-cooked from a bag- wasn’t seeming like it was cooked in house. Staff was so friendly though!

I’ve been coming to this hidden gem for about a year now and every time the family and I order from here, we always enjoy our meals; from pizza/specialty pies, pasta dishes, garlic knots and the chicken rolls. One of my many favorite items is the Chicken & Broccoli Roasted Garlic pizza. Placing orders during lunch, dinner, different days of the week, the consistency of the taste and their recipes are always there, which is a big plus! This clean, presentable establishment is so busy, that their phone lines are off the hook, literally!! That is a great sign, well worth the wait. Hats off to everyone behind the counter, working hard everyday preparing delicious food, serving the community and many families. THANK YOU Via Pizza
