The Valley’s best Chicago deep-dish has come to San Tan Valley. The concept’s fourth East Valley pizzeria is taking over the former Ironwood Pub & Grill on the northeast corner of Ironwood and Ocotillo.
Vero (formerly Buddyz) made its Arizona debut in Queen Creek in 2013, leading a parade of well-known Windy City pizzerias – including Lou Malnati’s, Gino’s East, and Giordano’s – into the Valley.
Vero has been the most successful, adding busy locations in Gilbert in 2021 and Ahwatukee in 2017.
The menu offers 18 “landmark” pizzas name-checking Chicagoland attractions, such as the Sears Tower, Daley Plaza, Dearborn Station, Rush Street, and Soldier Field. Pizzas come in three styles: thin crust, butter

This place is like our “Cheers”! The pizzas are very tasty and high quality, the staff is friendly and accommodating! Cheryl and Denver (who run Friday night karaoke) are the most down to earth and fun folks! They do fun things like trivia and have a special “drink of the month” that changes. We love to go there and hang with the “regulars”, laugh, and have some delicious grub. So nice to have a place like this so close to home!

We are disappointed in the quality of our pizzas. We ordered 2 pizzas. One was cold, and the cheese wasn’t melted. The other was burnt. Refer to the pictures. Some of the pizza wasn’t edible. The burnt pizza should have never been put in a box and sent out the door. That is unacceptable. There was obviously an issue, and it should have been addressed.

First time at this location. Met the owner Josh. Told him I would give him an honest review. Well, there is nothing bad I can say about this place. Very nice. Pizza was delicious and the service was great. They were busy but didn’t take long to get our food. Waitress was very attentive. Love the atmosphere here. Will definitely be our go to for great pizza.

2nd time there, wanted to go twice before sharing… kind of hit or miss. The service is really good and when my pizza didn’t turn out well they were happy to bring another. Neither was great on the second visit. I wish I could remember what I had my first visit that I loved but since then not real impressed. Not real comfortable seating, not real easy to see the sports on TVs which is also a reason I go to pizza places. Some of my friends really like their deep dish and I’d have to agree that’s their best pizza if you’re going to visit.

Loved everything about it ! Walked in at lunch and was greeted right away and asked what I wanted to drink . Served in a speedy fashion and the food was delicious thinking about it now makes me crave the meatball sandwich so good .

Excellent thin crust pizza. Pepperoni and sausage are legit. Cheese is fresh, and sauce is sweet. Can’t go wrong with thin crust

It’s hard to beat the pizza here. It’s a little pricey, but I find myself still ordering it. Bartenders are always nice and attentive. Dive bar feel with really good food. Nothing wrong with that.

My wife had a meat ball sandwich and she thought it was ok,. I had the buffalo bone in wings and they were the best I’ve had in a while(crisp, saucy flavorful).

Very good pizza, but pricy. Orders typically take longer than stated.
