Verna’s is a great local bar. Even though it is a smoking bar it is a great place to stop at for a cold beer or cocktail. Friendly people, a pool table that you can challenge by putting your quarters up and a great patio make it a fun place.

Its tiny, inside for sure, but has a nice opened up back patio thats cozy to hang with friends of yourself alone. Great folks all the way around and if you want a good cold beer, not Luke warm just stocked room temp beer, this is your spot! You like a good burger? They got those too, plus a bit more for munching on! Live music, great cookouts and crawfish boils, benefits and fund raisers happen here as well…. Just shows ya how good folks in your local neighborhood hole in the wall down home kind of bar really are… friendly caring and always welcomes a new face/friend and make ya feel like you’ve been there forever already!

Karaoke night DJ was great, under new management so the staff has some things to work out. It was entertaining but had to constantly go inside to the bar if I wanted refreshments

Not a bad place, a real dive but good atmosphere and karaoke. But it was like pulling teeth to get the bartender to serve me. She waited on several people that came up after me and looked at me several times, with cash in my hand, and continued to chat with friends who weren’t even buying drinks. Very unprofessional, rude, and immature. Too bad someone like that is allowed to work with the public. We’ve been there before and never had a problem with the other bartender. She should be fired.
