Tasty spot. Glad to have tried it out finally. Stopped in on a Friday so the front desk was definitely a bit hectic and included a 45 min wait for a pizza that turned into an hour. Had no idea it was gonna be that long to begin with. Understandable though. Had a glass of wine to pass the time. Also ordered 12 wings and if I had been aware of the price of them, I probably would’ve just passed. Lastly, the ranch. As a ranch enthusiast, I was disappointed to see that they had given Kens ranch. Seeing the responses, they thrive on fresh ingredients and I would hope that the ranch would be homemade at least. Overall, pizza is really good and look forward to returning.

Tonight we went to Venice Pizza House and didn’t actually have pizza. They had a Dinner for 2 special this week which featured a choice of appetizer or salad, two main dishes and a dessert for a special price. We chose the small antipasto salad for our starter and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve always loved Venice’s Italian dressing and it was clear that even though they have new owners that the recipes haven’t changed.

Family owned since 1954, we’ve NEVER had a bad meal here. The pizza is truly the BEST in San Diego and the atmosphere is small, intimate and friendly. Addie our server was great and don’t forget to check the calendar for their daily specials.

Waitress was very attentive and friendly. Ordered garlic cheesy bread and a meat lovers pizza,. Garlic bread was covered in mozzarella and the dipping sauce was not your standard marinara. It had chunks of onions and tomatoes . The pizza was one of the best pizzas that I have ever had.

Still The BEST pizza house and Italian restaurant since 1954!!! A classic spot in the heart of San Diego where the high quality delicious food, comforting atmosphere, fair prices, and exceptional customer service keeps me coming back! Their lunch specials are stellar deals and their pizza is famous for fresh ingredients and the perfect crust! I was nearly heartbroken at the potential of them closing after the pandemic, but the love from the town pitched in and their reputation kept them alive!! If you’re a pizza fan, this place is a gem that will give you great memories for a lifetime.

This is the type of place when you order a pizza and you got to take it home and add your own toppings to make it better. Also charging $30 for a 10 inch pizza? Even if the crust is gluten-free that’s still highway robbery

Wanted to love it based on reviews but pizza was a let down. The pizza dough seems ready made, not fresh. If not, it’s way too starchy. Tasted like cardboard on the crust but soggy in the middle. Second time here. Will go back and try something other than pizza eventually.

My dad is 88 and a self-appointed critic of Italian food. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen him so satisfied. David, our waiter, was so patient and accommodating, even though we asked for a room to ourselves.. He never forgot us, he was patient when dad was hard to follow and friendly along the way. Dad forgot his leftovers ( expect big portions). He was quite disappointed, but when I called, Yvette moved them to the front desk so I could easily pick them up. My favorite part was the sauce. I was pleased with raviolis and sausage & dad was satisfied by spaghetti & meatballs. I often enjoy take-out sandwiches and pizza from Venice. I’m grateful they helped me give dad such an enjoyable Father’s Day. I’m also thrilled this adds one more restaurant to dad’s limited places he likes.

This was my third trip to this place. I was disappointed, that sauce has changed not like it was the other two trips. I find out that the original owner retired, is now under new ownership. Sad when new owners change the recipes. I saw that happen to other restaurants, today they’re no longer in business. I hope Venice go back to original recipes because that is what made that place known & popular. Just my opinion. ✌

The quintessential traditional Italian restaurant. Good chicken parmigiana seasoned well, big portions. The pizza is one of the best I’ve had in San Diego. Perfect crust that has just the right balance and crunch when it’s fresh out of the oven. Good cheese, vibrant sauce, this place is going to be my go to from now on. The clams with linguini looks great, going to try that next. Good prices, nice place to spend an hour sharing a pizza with friends.
