A definite old time Italian restaurant with home style Italian specialty dishes. The pizza and lasagna is good of course, but dishes like Eggplant Vatican really define the place. Food is great and service is very friendly, prompt and right on spot. This is a very busy restaurant and I am sure they have the same staffing issues as most places, post covid. That said, we experienced nor saw any delays in service.

First of all, plan to wait. We did and we had zero problem with that. The restaurant is fast paced and the servers are working their behinds off. Our wait was 1 hour. We love people watching, so it was fine by us. I will say they need a dedicated host. People felt confused as to who to put their name in with.

Three stars due to the very cramped atmosphere of the place. The sound from all the people in such a small place was overwhelming. The staff was short-handed. There were five parties waiting at the door with reservations. We had to stand at the door for several minutes to be seated.

Old style spaghetti house. Basic Italian food, prepared well and served hot. Would have been nice to have been offered parmesan cheese or to have some on the table, but otherwise, we had an enjoyable supper.

We used to go there all the time but I stopped going because the Alfredo sauce was very watery and didn’t have any taste. Today we decided to give it another change. My husband had the veal Parmesan. His food was good. I had angel hair pasta with Alfredo sauce. My Alfredo had no sauce whatsoever. I had a ball of pasta very dry and and rubbery. They served me a pound of pasta. It looked like they had taken out the freezer and put some garnishment on top to make it pretty but it tasted like nothing. I called and they made me another order and they were suppose to send extra Alfredo sauce. My husband came back with no extra sauce and another pound of pasta and another order of garlic bread. This time it was hot and there was a little sauce at the bottom but again the sauce was very watered down and did not taste like anything. Tried it out two times and they still could not get it right. Will not go back there until they get their act together.

This is my go-to place for steak night!! Their ribeye is incredible. A waiter told us about it on one visit and I will be forever grateful. The crust on it is so good!! Generally I order the veggie option with it – but there has never been a side as good as the first time I ordered the broccoli. It was tender, covered in olive oil and herbs – yum.

Great place! The servings were huge. An app, two meals and two big pieces of garlic bread for about $60

Only a 10-15 minute drive away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter, is a nice restaurant to slow down after a long day of sightseeing. The food was excellent, hot, and classic old-school Italian! Atmosphere was comforting, relaxing, great Sinatra-type music. Venezia has a lot of history, and is a great place the locals enjoy! Our waitress, Parish, was absolutely a joy! She was personable, shared the history of the restaurant, as well as the Mid-City area. She even took time aside to suggest a nice evening walk in City Park, and a stop at the famous Cafe du Monde. Thank you, Parish!
