Tacos were good. We tried the brisket (the best one! ), Buffalo chicken (too saucy), shrimp taco (so good I didn’t get to try it), chimichurrie taco (steak a little chewy, avacado was browned so I wasn’t a fan of the flavor, too much rice. But flavor was amazing). I have to go back to try their tots and their chicken n waffles taco.

Loved this joint since I first ate at a Dallas location. So glad that they set up shop in Rockwall! I had the #10 Kobe Bacon burger and the #11 Grilled flank steak tacos…both were killer!

Food is generally good, though the cold toppings on the brisket nachos always throws me off. I’ve tried quite a few of their tacos and they all have their charms. My usual picks include the salmon and the chimichurri flank steak. Though honorable mentions for the fish taco for its unusual but interesting flavor profile, as well as the kobe beef burger taco.

It’s unfortunate that the chefs here mistake flavor for sodium. As a longtime vegan and huge foodie, I couldn’t finish the beer battered cauliflower tacos due to the overwhelming amount of salt in the batter. And the cauliflower took up 90% of the taco – would love to see more veggies to balance things out. I don’t recommend this option and likely won’t order it again unless there’s been tremendous improvement. Other than the food, service was so quick, and it was super easy to sign up and order on the app.

Pre-Covid, Velvet Taco was always suggested as a place I needed to try. But timing always got in the way. But they built one close(ish) to my house. My wife and I were finally able to stop by and give it a try. I got the Cuban Pig and my wife got the chimichurri streak. We also got a side of the pineapple fresno guac. I’ll start with my taco, it was good except for one thing. It seemed like the person making it got a little heavy handed with the mustard. As there was a ton of it. So much so it overpowered most of the other flavors. My wife’s chimichurri steak taco was absolutely brilliant. There’s nothing bad I can say about it. Now the pineapple guacamole, OMG is awesome. To add to the chimichurri steak taco and the guac, the fresno chile just doesn’t get used enough here in Texas. Just a great addition to the two. Some others comments say that the portions were worth what the price. But in regard to our experience, the tacos were packed full and full of flavor. So worth it, IMO. will definitely be back. Probably wouldn’t get the Cuban Pig. But I recommend it. Rather or not these comments are actually read, that’s a different story.

Ok, not traditional tacos at all. Our first time here. Customer service was great. Nice young man explained the menu. No plates, no utensils; felt a little Iike eating off the table. Didn’t see anyone cleaning them either. The table and chairs had food crumbs on them. Suggest that you step it up if this is going to be the concept. The tortillas, flour, and corn were cold, giving them that unfinished feel. But the inside of the tacos was fantastic, tasted great, different but great. We had the #11, two #11.5 and #12, four tacos all together, and two margaritas on the rocks, the large. These were great. We spent $58.05. A bit/a lot overpriced for four tacos. You need to fix the flour and corn tortillas issue; It’s serious. As for the salsa choices at the bar; too much vinegar. You’re close, but you need to fix the recipe.

The food was great! The seating area was cute, but the only reason I give it 4 out of 5 is the price.

Great food and great service. Between my wife and me, we had the #8.5, #11, #11.5, and #17. To me, the #17 was the best. The elote and chips are a great side, too.
