I was introduced to Velvet Taco by my best friend, so definitely had to try it for myself. Although there was a significant wait time, the food quality made up for it. However, this will be a factor that I will consider which makes me not as likely to return. I ordered the rotisserie tacos and had the red velvet cake for dessert. my boyfriend ordered the Tikka tacos And said that it was the best taco that he has ever eaten. I’m sorry but I only gave a three star rating because of the wait time even on a weekday as well as the very limited parking and the fact that there was a drive-through but it was not open.

OMG it’s are favorite fast food ever in the Food Hall Assembly at 5th & Broadway in Nashville! Hubby works across the street, and I meet him every Friday at Velvet Taco. I get the frozen margarita, and the hot tofu tacos, and the street corn. The cauliflower is also delicious. We eat vegetarian, and love these tofu tacos smothered with their pickled cabbage/slaw and squirt of spicy sauce. We always find a place to sit near their booth and listen to free noteworthy entertainment, since the taco place is near the stage. Lines go fast, and the food and atmosphere is top notch!

Very confused by all the good reviews. The tacos are dry, and the tortilla is bland and chewy. We tried 6 different tacos: buffalo chicken, tikka, Korean rice, burger, fish&chips and mexi shrimp.

Argh just terrible So disappointed! The reviews here are definitely misleading. The worst tacos I have ever had. This place was extremely crowded so maybe they were rushed to make the food or the food is just always that bad?!

Finally a good taco place in Nashville! I was pleasantly surprised with how good these tacos were! My favorite was the Korean Fried Rice – don’t knock it until you try it! The guacamole was also delicious – very fresh. Definitely returning to try other tacos!
