This is just up the road from our house so it’s super convenient. It’s family owned and the food is really good.

Well here it is for all the Cali folk’s in the DFW. Real Mexican food. I am originally from San Diego and I have been to many of their restaurants in Cali. This place is 100% on point. The carne asada is 1000% legit! California Burritos, carne asada fries everything identical to California. I have not found another place in the DFW that can even come close to this. Definitely a big bite of home. Thank you.

I’m from San Diego, and I approve!!! This is the closest/exactly-like SoCal Taco Shops that I grew up with. I had the beef rolled tacos with guacamole and lettuce and an ol’ fashioned Bean & Cheese burrito. The beans were right. The tortillas were exactly like those that I grew up eating. The cheese, the salsa, the hot carrots, perfect… thank you!! There must be a huge line for lunch.

Stopped here for some tortas and was not disappointed. We also ordered fries with them not knowing they would be huge

Order real mexican, no tex mex. Poblano pepper in a burrito with carnitas, sooo good. Tends to be a bit greasy at the end. Recommend the taco and Agua frescas. Tortillas were excellent!

Edit: Called this “destination restaurant” out for buying reviews and clearly struck a nerve. Blame the customer all you want, but soggy quesadillas and old food speaks for itself, Valerie’s.

My daughter and I Got food poisoning here from cross contamination. The Hispanic guy has great service and cooks the food really well and flavorful, but the Indian guy has terrible service and he is not nearly as good of a cook, and he gave both my daughter and I food poisoning in 2 DIFFERENT occasions. The first time we didn’t want to believe it was them because we love the restaurant so much, it DOES taste really good. But food poisoning twice in a 2 week span is just too much.

The one thing we missed in San Diego, CA were the taco shops. We don’t have a need to EVER go back. These burritos/tacos/churros/etc are just like home. The Valarie’s chain started in San Diego and has slowly added other areas and to other states. We are so glad they are 5 minutes away from home.

This place is off the hook!!! Every thing I order is awesome. Everything is fresh and authentic. Whoa, the salsa is fresh but lit me up pretty good. They are not stingy with their guacamole either. Also, very clean.
