This was a fantastic recommendation we got from a local who lives in the area. Really unique, well plated and curated food. Super tasty! We shared a bunch of plates between the two of us. Don’t miss out on the sardines, carpaccio, octopus, and squid. Great wine, limited beer selection. Would definitely go back.

We had a good lunch at Valentina. There is a somewhat limited menu but everyone was able to find something they liked. We got a reservation easily through OpenTable, the restaurant was not busy when we got there about 2pm on a Sunday. Parking can be a little tough to find but they have a little lot out back. We got the mussels, sea bass, eggs and chorizo, and the shrimp. The highlight of the food was the shrimp (make sure you order some bread to eat with the shrimp- the garlic oil it is cooked in is very good)

The food we ordered was very good and tasteful however the plates are incredibly small, which makes this place really expensive for what you get. Portions should be much larger for that price, just like in many other restaurants in the area. Service was slow too, they forgot to bring waters that we asked for, they were very busy. We don’t intend to come back.

What a great Encinitas find. Eaten at all “the places” up and down the 101. Valentina found all the right notes between authentic Mediterranean/Spanish (looking at you Croquetas), relaxed, and absolutely delicious. Especially loved the Aguachiles De Camarones! Don’t miss out on the olives. We will definitely return!

Great spot on the 101 in Leucadia! Their food is Spanish/French inspired. I love their Tomato Bread with Ibérico ham as an appetizer. The Seabass was delicious! For dessert we had the Basque cake and we were pleasantly surprised! It had a vanilla custard with cherry filling!!! Yum!

Definitely thr place to go for sharing with a group of people! It was definitely a nice change of pace from the usual brunch spots. And the wine selection was pretty diverse and unique.
