My friend clark mentioned this place while we were discussing human trafficking. The omnipresent aura of depression is definitely appealing, especially after failing multiple tests the same day. I’d give it a ten out of ten but the food is atrocious. I’ve had better pizza behind a Walgreens in an alley. The employees look dead inside, which is a nice touch. Overall I’d definitely recommend this place for all the freshman that were forced to buy unlimited access to this God-forsaken wasteland

As a UT student, I would hope the campus dining that I was forced to pay over $2,000 to my first year would be more helpful with matters, however they are extremely unhelpful in fixing problems with meal plans and do not care about how at risk financially they put students by not helping. Specifically Alan Paul, was very unhelpful and condescending when I approached him with my problem, I will never be purchasing a dining plan from these people again, nor will I give a dime to them after I graduate. They do not care about individuals, just money. Also PCB always has bugs crawling all over the desserts, so I’d stay away from there.

As a senior mechanical engineering major at the University of Tennessee, I have a vast amount of experiences dealing with UT dining at their many locations. Have you ever been to a UT football game and been like, “why is a bottle of water $4 or $6?” Well UT dining, it’s meal plans, meal equivalencies, P.O.D. locations, and dining halls are even more of a rip off. The amount that they are profiting on young college students is ridiculous. All their numbers are online, just do the math. I understand we live in a free market economy, but what their doing is taking advantage of students and parents. As a student whose EFC, estimated family contribution calculated by the FAFSA, has been $0 for last 5 years, it has made it incredibly difficult to purchase food at any of the UT dining locations. Attempt to go to Southern Kitchen and pay with a credit card or attempt to buy anything at a P.O.D. location and you’ll understand the incredibly high and unnecessary mark-up on food. Everything is maximized for profits which drastically diminishes quality and makes the time to get your food that much longer. Ever wonder why every line on campus is always 20 minutes long? That’s exactly what UT dining wants. If they do it that way, they maximize the efficiency of their staff. But for a student who wants a $1 bagel in his 15 minute break between classes, you’re out of luck. My best advice, regardless of if you have money or not, don’t be foolish and waste your money on UT dining. Drive to the Kroger or Aldi down Kingston and it’ll make your life so much easier and you’ll save hundreds. I make 5 sandwiches for lunch during the week and I do it for the same price they charge you for 1 sandwich. One really smart option is to go to Nama on Monday or Thursday for half price sushi or go to Copper Cellar for their burger night on Wednesday. Even if you have the scholarships to pay for a meal plan, don’t buy it. Get your direct deposit refund and then use that money to buy food at grocery stores and pocket or invest the rest. I really wish someone had told me this before I started UT.

students are forced to have a meal plan, so I eat here, but SUPER bland food, terrible dining hours and 9/10 employees SUCK!!! So unhelpful, apathetic and disrespectful, even when I go in everyday with a smile. It’s so hard to find healthy options, and the salads are terrible. Sometimes, the food is decent, but usually its not. Also everything is CRAZY OVERPRICED!!!

The PCB usually has an overwhelming aura of depression. Occasionally one of the booths is haunted, either by a poltergeist or quasi-demon but heck, what do I know? I’m just a lowly student trying to get his degree in this asburd mess we call the world. Each day that passes is ticking of the hand on the uncaring clock of the apathetic universe that purges life of all meaning in exchange for an ocean of nihilism. The chicken sandwiches here are pretty good, though.

By far the worst possible place to eat on campus. Extremely bland and usually poor mantianced. I can’t believe ut hasn’t cut ties with such a company conside how terrible their performance is. Never coming back to eat here again. I’d rather spend actually money for real heart food nearby… Do NOT recommend to ANYONE!!!

Honestly, it’s not that bad. Don’t expect gourmet or 5 star chefs;it is a cafeteria. Good food.
