We had a very good experience at Urban Cellar! Our server recommended the Mulberry Mule which was excellent! Our meals were very good but the wife did feel there was a lot of skins in the mashed potatoes. The chocolate cake for dessert was delectable. Our server could have been a bit more attentive as it took her a really long time to finally get our bill out to us after we were finished eating but in the grand scheme of things that was pretty minor. This was a great place for the wife & I to have a nice date night.

We stopped by the cellar for the first time recently. This is a gem hidden in an unassuming strip mall. Great ambiance that mixes casual with formal. Very welcoming folks and good service. We didn’t have any wine, but they certainly have the selection for it. We ordered the fried zucchini since most places don’t carry them. The presentation was awesome and the taste even better. I am a nacho fan and ordered their nachos. Nachos can be bland and a lot of places load up on sauce instead of meat. Not these guys! I had so much shrimp on mine and it tasted really great. The salmon BLT was fantastic. The aioli was tangy and spice and a complement to the salty bacon and well seasoned salmon. Sweet potatoes fries came with honey for dipping!!! So so good.

Very good food and prices. All the plates we ordered were good and well prepared. They have a lot of Gluten Free option for those intollerant. We have grilled calamari instead the fried one and they were excellent. Seared Ahi Tuna . Also pork chop and steak. They have very nice selection of wine in the market area and corking is only $10

I met some friends for happy hour on the Friday before Memorial Day. We sat on the patio to enjoy half off select beverages and appetizers. Our sever was timely and fun to chat with. The food and drinks were good. There was a steady flow of customers. I recommend arriving early to avoid the sunshine.

Urban Cellar has always been a favorite, but there are ups and downs. We arrived before 4 and had decent service for drinks and appetizers, but our server also had to cover the bar. This meant that when business picked up, we were ignored and had to flag down someone else to take meal orders.

I returned to Urban Cellar last Friday night expecting a meal as terrific as the first time I was there… that was not the case. Service was prompt throughout the meal, however the waitress was excessively chatty…she was definitely a talker, not much of a listener. I started with what was called Seafood Chowder… had to be good, right? The chowder had 3 small pieces of DRY fish, that was the only ‘Seafood’ I could identify. The broth was nothing special. I ordered Short Ribs which were heavenly my last visit. The waitress recommended the whipped potatoes as a side dish. I saw somewhere on the menu the mention of Yukon Gold potatoes. I asked her if the potatoes coming with my meal were Yukon Gold, to which she replied “they’re whipped”. I responded with “whipped is how they’re prepared, not the type if potato. Seemed too complicated to pursue. The food arrived promptly, but my short rib was nothing close to the first time. Flavor was good but it was very dry. I have had had and neck cancer so swallowing food can be difficult especially when it’s dry. I asked the waitress for more sauce & mentioned that the meat was dry. She responded with ‘ just chew it longer”!!! She brought me a tiny cup with about a tablespoon of sauce which was useless. My meal was a total waste of $. I’ll try somewhere else next time

3rd time here. First time was excellent. Food was great, service scattered, busy night. But the most recent visit having a steak sandwich which I requested medium came out well, with little flavor besides the blue cheese. $7 for a side of mashed potatoes. Since the steak sandwich was my go to meal-I’ll give a pass on further dining here.

Have been here many times and can unequivocally say that Urban Cellar is consistently excellent, from the service to the food. Kyle, the sommelier, is truly amazing and Nick the chef is one of the best chefs in town.

The food here is fresh made by experienced cooks. From the margaritas to the steaks all is done exceptionally well. Come for happy hour specials and stay for a relaxed upscale dinner. Loved the light jazz, fresh squeezed lime juice in my margaritas, hand crafted cocktails, calamari, fried eggplant, and the staff are all well groomed, happy folks who will either chat you up or leave you be depending on your mood. Fantastic market for great wine, cheese, meats ect for the next day’s lunch!!! One of our top 10 in WDM.
