Although this place is standing for a bar and grill it’s okay. Given my culinary exposure from traveling extensively. There are but a very few bar and grills that stand out. Nothing wrong about this place, but it’s a place I eat at out of convenience. I’ll be back, but because I don’t have the time to drive to Madison, for some dinner. If your looking for a good midwestern bar and grill, it’s better than some.

Food was good! Would like my burger a little bit more cooked, but otherwise was delicious. Waitress, Emma, wasnt to sure about burger but did go and find out. Was very pleasant to our table. Will be back for another visit in the future. Good luck on your newest venue, Hagar family!

The food here is really good. Out of everything the fries are amazing, nice and crispy and not soggy like other restaurants. 10/10!!!

Met some friends at the Uptoen Grill. We enjoyed some beverages and food. The Tachoes we great, but the service could have been more attentive. Several times, we were waiting on beverages or had to go to the bar to order.

Got the brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries; both were very good. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely go back again.

Food and service was great! It’s nice to have a new restaurant in NE Iowa. We will definitely return to Waukon to eat here.

Was very pleased with the food quality. We visited on a busy Friday night, and the wait staff was a bit stretched, but all in all, we will definitely be returning.
