Food was good.

We stopped in Kalkaska on our way home and stopped at the Up North Grill for a late lunch. There were only a few customers at the bar, we sat at a table nearby. Our waitress was awesome and was very attentive to our needs. We ordered a couple appetizers. The “Mile High” nachos were any but that. They were maybe 2 chips high. For cheese they used the liquid type. Not our favorite. Our other tizer was the wonton. They were good. Will we return? Not until we try all the our restaurants in the area.

Great little bar in Kalkaska! Fantastic food and service!! Seafood stuffed mushrooms! Amazing! The French dip!!! Yea!!! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it!

The place has a nice atmosphere and cool fish tank. Ordered garlic parmesan wings, but they tasted pretty much plain. The Chicken Alfredo was fairly good, but not too much chicken. The ribeye tasted good. There was mustard on the table that was expired by several months which was a bit concerning.

Very good place to stop! For me it was a random lunch choice, but a good one at that. I got the lunch special, turkey bacon wrap with some fries. It was delicious.

Local family style restaurant in Kalkaska. Real Murican Food. Great selection, Large portions. We will go there again.

Stopped for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of seats available and service was prompt and friendly. I enjoyed a burger and my son had the lasagna. Both were great. Building is dated and actually looked closed when we pulled in, but shouldn’t be a deterrent to stopping here for a bite to eat. I would eat here again.

After we were sitting there for 10 minutes, the waitress brought the next table waters and took their drink order. They had arrived a few minutes AFTER us. We were already thinking about leaving, then she took our drink order. Well, part of it, anyway. She took 2 of the 3 people’s drink order, then walked off.

Loved the fireplace, warm and cozy then the Owner started screaming and swearing at employees in the kitchen, needless to say we got up and left, very uncomfortable. The wait staff was friendly and very apologetic for the owner.

Great spot to stop on the drive back from Petoskey to Grand Rapids. In and out in 30 minutes, and the food was all GREAT! Check it out! Picture is the Western BBQ Burger. Deeelish.
