This is a place I stumbled on when I was walking around Manchester. My overall opinion is that it’s got great atmosphere with outdoor seating available, but what you really want to do is sit in the basement because it’s an old bank vault, complete with the old door.

Vegetarians: skip this restaurant. Besides the salads, the bean burger is the only true veggie entree option. And it’s underwhelming and not worth the high price.

We stopped by on the late side unaware of Vermont’s police state covid restrictions. The Underground Restaurant went out of their way but within the rules to accommodate us.The waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and promptly served. Their hamburger tasted really good and their house made pub cheese is very good. Prices are moderate. We would definitely go back.

Fantastic atmosphere, staff was very polite and attentive. Burger was cooked perfectly, although the fries tasted slightly fishy as if they were fried in the same oil as the fish, but otherwise everything was delicious! The marinara sauce was a little smokey which I was not a fan of but can see how others may like it. Will definitely try it again!

Great, intimate, charming dining experience in what I suspect was the vault of the union bank, or something of that sort. They have the original vault door still installed down there. The food is delicious. Great beer selection. Lots of locals. Wish I lived closer to frequent more often.

I ate the poutine and it was unique and delicious. It’s a good place to eat and a pretty cool atmosphere. They were very covid friendly and the waitress was really great. I would definitely go back when I come back to the area. Also their cheese curds are tasty. You should check this place out.

The environment is very clean and the staff is very hospitable! The environment is very unique and the gastropub is great. The food was good. Note to future customers – the restroom is through the glass doors near the kitchen! (You’re welcome for that future tip! A lot of people were walking around looking for it)

Waitress was great! Service was fast, all orders, even the ones with special requests, came out perfect. Like the pool table and dart board extras. Will definitely return!

11/24/19 We came upon this place and decided to stay. Good beer selection and active display for beers and live “Untappd” updates, something I have not seen before (very cool).

I fell in love. Hight recommended for visitors and locals. Urban pleasant atmosphere. Meals are decent as well as prices. A must! Thanks to Brian our server he’s awesome , informative and welcoming also knows his menu well! Try it !
