Ordered a clay pot and a crispy whole sea bass, 100/100 they are so delicious! With a just right level of sweet + sour + soy sauce flavor , and the fish itself is juicy and tender, with only a few large fish bones. My favorite fish ever!

I don’t review bad restaurants, good and excellent food need to be share so no negativity. Bad reviews words can destroy lively hood of a business. Uncle Seven deserve my review as they really have good tasty food and good qualities Chinese dishes. Why they are good quality? Their menu offer Gulf Shrimp ( and Angus Beef) which is wild caught not farm breed. Farm breed shrimp or fishes are bad for you because the farmer use a lots of antibiotics in their feeding to keep the fishes strong to avoid sickness and diseases.

Food is so good! We always get the five spice short rib spicy noodle, but the other dishes are also amazing

My second time here after many months. Thank you social media for the feed. Sure have been trying to get back as I’m 40mins away, being that there’s no traffic, but worth the drive to me. The food is excellent, and I love the atmosphere of this restaurant too. The children and I sat and enjoyed our meals, while I ordered one for the road. Garlic Black bean and Wok Ginger glaze togo. Veggie fried rice [minus] them carrots. Gotta ask for that glaze to go over the rice and dip the shrimp in. I’ll be back soon.

Great mix of authentic meals with modern twists! Super convenient location in the SoNo mall – perfect spot to eat before or after shopping. Loved the tempura shrimp w walnut, Peking duck dumplings, coconut curry chicken and salmon that were served in a traditional clay pot. Amazing friendly service!! Will be back again soon!

Claypot rice is uncommon in CT. We tried the claypot pork belly. The pork belly is braised well and tasty. We also ordered the short rib saucy noodles. That was too subtle for my palate and tasted plain to me. I had expected something close to wonton noodles. The restaurant was quite empty as is the entire mall. I hope it’s because it’s a weekday. Service was good.

Taste like authentic Chinese food with hint of fusion. Super like for food quality. The ambiance is comfy with soothing music and warm lights. Must try – Sichuan style dumplings. You can customize the dumplings if you want. Pot dishes are something to try out which was delicious. Overall very good experience. Will definitely try again.

Back again to review this place because I seriously love the food here! This spot is hidden in the mall at SONO. They need more recognition. The man who always works there serving must be an owner or manager but his service Is always on point. He’s always so kind and quick. He loves to make sure his customers are happy. We tried different things this time around and we still feel the same about this place. WE LOVE IT!! Honestly you can’t go wrong with anything you try from this spot. Their food is so delicious and fresh. I never feel disgusting after eating here and most Chinese food places will make you feel that way but not uncle sevens! Will be back soon!

Tried this restaurant for lunch today with my Chinese friend. We enjoyed the food very much. I ordered Kung Pao chicken lunch box and my friend had Sichuan Pepper Sauce with beef. We added fried dumplings to share at the end. The skin of the dumplings is a little thick, which is pretty common in the US but they were perfectly fried. The meal was very tasty. I’m originally from Sichuan and liked their food a lot. They are definitely not the Americanized Chinese food style and kept the original Chinese taste. The service was great and the waiter knew that we preferred hot water instead of iced-water and asked to confirm. The environment was very pleasant. I loved how they decorated the place with traditional elegant Chinese style, especially the porcelain cups for hot lemon water. A good place to visit if you want to enjoy good Chinese food in a pleasant environment.

Went in today to try out their lunch menu. Ended up ordering their beef and broccoli lunch box which consisted of a decent portion of beef and broccoli with a bowl of rice.
